i've said this is what we've been hearing for years, the fact that it is from U2s,but i myself couldn't explain why.people around these parts can hear an odd sound at night (mostly) that many have claimed to be "space craft",people like my brother inlaw, is when a U2 is setting up to land at Beale,Juan says they start doing this at the Mustang VOR.anyway,,watch its interresting.

I have no idea where you are getting something like C:/program files/Microsoft games/cfs3 ETO expansion/qclocations/1941. there shouold not be a ----/qclocations/1941 anywhere. Please just type out your masterstartup.bat file for a start, otherwise I don't know where to start helping you.

Finally I got to fly the new beta and what can I say! A brilliant model got even better, and in all aspects! 3D model including VC, flight performance and also FPS. I didn't check while installing but I do believe even the sound is improved. It's an immensely satisfying and immersive simming experience, this has to be the very pinnacle of what is achievable in FS9 modelling!

That pdf was from a Hairyspin post for ETO help. Circa 2012ish. Ok my lines looked like this, sorta: C:/program files/Microsoft games/cfs3 ETO expansion/qclocations/1941. Then it says edit to: C:program files (x86)/microsoft games/.....and follows that path...but the edit pdf clearly shows leaving all the program file/msoft/ junk in the path.... Or close, which is how the pdf showed it done. What u typed is more like the word readme included.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Military skins - Cold War Description: This skin set is for Shessi's PBY-6A Catalina, reworked from the AlphaSims PBY-5A. It includes a utility plane of Utility Squadron Seven (VU-7) based at NAS North Island, California; a patrol bomber of the Boston Reserves based at NAS Squantum, Massachusetts; and an Air Sea Rescue plane based at NAS Quonset Point, Rhode Island, all in the late 1940s. Also included is a new model file with specular gloss enabled at the semi-gloss level in the program Shiny, to properly display the glossy dark sea blue finish worn by post-war U.S. Navy PBYs. NOTE: This archive contains the semi-gloss model that was omitted from the original upload. To check it out, rate it or add comments,...

WOW! I had no idea how big their file was (I know it's shown on their product page). That is indeed an investment of HDD real estate and actually makes me consider how often might I fly over the Netherlands vs HDD space needed to support. I would definitely be interested in something from area's I fly frequently, unfortunately NL is not one of those areas. I will continue to watch this develop but she is indeed a very nice add on. Love the details, however the cost is a very large HDD footprint. Admittedly, I was in awe at the details, so perhaps will support once it's on sale, and find a few flights from Soesterberg.

Nice find Ed! Interesting project indeed. Agree this would fit the Lionheart line of unique aircraft. I would definitely love to see this thing perform in real life, in red, of course.

Where it says editing batch files. According to what ya showed me, Mongoose...they ain't a nothing alike. ETO 1.0 and 1.2 installation guide A new guide to installing ETO 1.0 and 1.2 is now available in the Warbirds Index, CFS3 Other section. This collaboration between Grizzly50 and myself compiles information from the ETO Expansion Download Links, Comments, Questions sticky and the instructions supplied with ETO and includes many screenshots to guide the user through the process. I'm not saying the official instructions are faulty - all you need is there - but many of our new visitors are less familiar with file and folder fiddling than some of us. This guide was compiled to help them get up and running more easily with ETO. The same questions keep cropping up in the sticky...
