Just FYI - I got a note from Wilco just now, saying that they will be doing an installer for the Harrier, but it won't have the HUD or the Radar. This is mystifying, because the Radar works just fine when you do a manual install. I'll report back on the HUD situation, if anyone's interested.

Yes, the existing P-51D/K repaints will work just fine with the D/K models included. Each model/variant, however, is specific in various modeled details, with in-service/post-production modifications, etc., which might not directly correlate with a specific repaint perfectly - but a repaint meant for the "The Millie G" model released with the Warbirdsim Little Friends product, for instance, will work perfectly with the "The Millie G" model in the Playsims product, etc.

You'll have to choose among the three that have the directional finding (df) loop antenna installed on the exterior, as that tells you outwardly which ones have it - those being listed as "P-40N Nav", "P-40N China CACW" and "P-40N Burma Banshees". The Bedix radio compass navigational system was only really used on aircraft operating in the China-Burma-India Theatre during WWII, hence the reason that system is only installed on those variants (though I know with the P-39, examples sent to Russia also had a similar radio setup installed).

Just purchased this set. With the currency conversion it comes to around $13.50, I think. Airmail delivery is in fact cheaper than FedEx. Should see it some time next week. There is no such thing as having too many Mustangs. I note the box shows "Warbirdsim" at the bottom. Presumably this package will accept repaints meant for Warbirdsim aircraft?

I'm just going sit here on the fence too until this is sorted out. I hate to waste money on a model that eats FPS when there are plenty of very good ones that don't...no matter how 'awesome' it is

Okay. I give up. Where is it?? :dizzy: I've restored and have been flying my FR P-40N all week. Just love it. In going through the manual, page 16 has an image and outline of the Bendix Navigation System which allows the pilot to use ADF frequencies. Problem is that I cannot find which model uses the system, or if there is a hidden key somewhere that displays the system as shown in the screenshot. I'd like to use it, but how??

Many years ago, there was a website called Top Gun Simulations that had a carrier ops competition, complete with prizes! I never even attempted to compete. Am sure there are some folks on here who did, however. I just had fun practicing. https://www.microsoft.com/Products/Games/FSInsider/partnerships/atg/Pages/default.aspx Top Gun Simulations was a shortlived website; long since gone. But I did manage to keep a mission that the site had provided for download for practicing carrier approaches/traps. My question is, before I even attempt installing it to V4, is it possible to get it to work? Thanks, NC:encouragement:

Thanks Chief. Weather hasn't gotten very bad here yet and I'm still in awe of the P3Dv4 eye candy. I acquired FlightBeam KMSP today and it is just spectacular!

Jim, I thought about this on my drive home from Boston and remembered that Oglivie released modified air and .cfg files that correct many of the issues with the Alphasim B-24: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=52&id=3547

Well worth the 1 plus postage. I'm not sure what the exact differences are between the download packs, but I seem to recall John (Terrell) mentioned that this pack had improved P-51B/C models included. Cheers Paul
