I was just wondering how effective that fire extinguisher would be.

This model is night and day above the original NGX. The more I use it, the more it stands out. As far as how many Devs are working on updating recent or are building new models for 2020, there's a lot going on in the background and I predict it's going to take off like gangbusters once out. It's certainly got a lot going for it and a lot of rig flexibility. I am feeling positive about it.

That looks interesting, a very smooth design. It still seems a bit "beta" though. Note the red support strut that keeps the door open :-) I think it has some visibility issues from the cockpit. These windows are very small and there's a fat strut between the left and right side. Cheers, Mark

Hi Rami, Thanks for checking in. We are ok in Brisbane , Queensland .There are fires surrounding the outskirts of the city in various places but nothing threatening. It is very BAD south of the border in NSW , three dead and I think over 100 Houses gone and a lot of livestock and equipment . It is also very BAD in Central Queensland near Rockhampton ( about 500 KLMS or 300 hundred miles north).

My, it's only a few weeks till Christmas and so far I've only got some installs to limp along. For one I got Nachtpiloten's error message about the shaders not working (see separate thread). I've installed the old Dot Net Framework 1.0 and Associated SDK - I presume this isn't really necessary? Then I installed a lot of the old DX stuff up to the June Redist 2010 final update. At some stage I got a message saying D3d9x_43.dll was missing, but I think a later update filled the gap because I found that particular file under SysWOW AND under System32 when I looked this morning. The biggest puzzle is the CFS Config - If I set up the configoverrides file so it is read-only, the game won't start. If I take off the read-only setting, I keep getting CFS3 opening to the "default"...

Hi Nachtpiloten, MajorMagee, I too am getting the message, just like Nachtpiloten last year: " Combat Flight Simulator Assertion Failed Module:"graphics", File: shader (1293): Cannot find default shader "Normal" " So is this a problem with the shaders.xml? What was the fix?

A plane drops fire retardant on a bushfire in Harrington, 335km north east of Sydney on Friday. I didn't know we had retardent fire bombers over here.

As PhantomTweak brought up 3710, although a newer version. Back in the day I don't think that existed in NAVAIR. From my early 90s on, we had to have the 100/30% tape, even helped my PR bud tape my own HGU helmet. Fast forward to present day, the squadron has a set tape stencil, with individual callsigns added as most have seen in the 'Tube vids. Other aircrew traditions seem to still be around like Friday Flight-suits (color).

I've had it for a few days or so and haven't played with the sharpening tool - no need. It made a clearer picture straight out of the box. I have an old sytem now i7-4790k with a GTX780 and it still does an ok job. New system when MS2020 happens. I found no problems with the new driver , just benefits - I can read the instruments better . The total screen has a better clarity. No fps hits
