That's awesome Denny, hope you enjoy the Super Hornets too! They're also due for a major update in the coming months, lots of stuff that'll be free including PBR and renewed afterburners / weapons etc. Keep an eye on Groom Lake Simulations - they produce repaints for my airplanes faster than I can keep up with - pretty sure you're chosen airplane will appear before too long.

Thank you, I now have it. I've had the Beverley from day one, and the FEAF texture, which are both in the Warbirds Library. I just assumed that 47 Sqdn would be there as well. Den.

Great fictional repaints, thanks all! BTW, if you get a black square on the tailplane it's not the painter's fault but an artefact with some FSX versions. I have a revised exterior model now that gets rid of it. Re the boost gauges: I think the consensus is that the psi boost gauge corresponds rather well to what the Manual says, and is fairly easy to handle, too. So for a second upload I'll make psi boost gauges the first choice and revise the checklist using the power settings of the Manual as quoted by Nagpaw. Thanks all for your input on this, it's much appreciated! --Manfred

Thanks hugely for the effort on continuing improvement. One of the most satisfying things about this hobby is seeing a near 15 year old model survive more than one sim replacement and work so well in the current state of the art (well almost, I am staying with P3D v4.5 H3 for now). It's like an old friend you never say goodbye to. Wil the forthcoming PBR version also be stand alone? If so, I may wait on installing the version just released as I have dozens of paints, my own air.cfg and panel tweaks etc to carry over. I understand that stand alone releases are more convenient for latecomers to the aircraft but for us Alphasim F-4 veterans I now have a substantial phantom philes to shift around! On the other hand, if it is just a matter of dropping in the replacment models, I will...

But do you do a realistic flight model there, or an imaginary one where they somehow made the vertical thrust work? (The XFV-12A never made it past hover testing because it didn't create enough thrust for VTOL.)

Sweeet! As a thanks I'm gonna go buy the F/A-18E/F too! (Oh, yeah, big sacrifice on my part. :) ) Can I start bugging one of you talented painter folks for a 1994 Tyndall AFB scheme for the F-15D? ;-)

Here is a set of updated spawns. Don't use unless you have properly installed the first set with associated files and instructions. Intercept and CAP should be more intense. http://www.mediafire.com/file/isyx0sxr01copkf/New_spawns_06-20.zip/file Hint: These spawns can also be used in Pat's Bob if MrJMaint's updated BoB spawn set has been installed.

I'm not a modeler and have never had any luck trying to change one, but I often add lights for landing, taxi, cargo, or whatever via the aircraft.cfg You can add a better landing light to the same location where the modeled landing light comes down if you play around with the coordinates. Usually you can figure out which assignment to give it so it will activate with the current landing light sw. From my experience the quality of the lighting effect is directly related to the effect file you choose. It is by design I believe My personal favorite is this one. It should be a default in your P3D effects folder. fx_c130_landing Great ground lighting and a long reach. It does not interfere as much as the glare from the shockwave lights.
