I have always thought "dwarf" (outside its heroic fantasy use) was more derogatory than "midget". Thank you for having increased my English skills today. :wavey:

You are on the right track, Mike! Would it help in specifying the designation if I said that 4 planes with this engine were built - but about 200 of the basic type with different engines?

Thanks for posting this here as well, Roland. I'll post my comments from over in the FSX forum here too, inasumch as they apply to the P3D users also: I hope this helps. PS - of unique consideration for those of us in P3D, the converted Connies have what is up to present, an unresolved model/texture issue. The cockpit windows, both looking out from the VC as well as looking at them from the outside views, render as invisible. Tom is aware of that, and has attempted to fix this but hasn't been able to thus far. I've also found the sunshade completely opaque also. Perhaps in time, these can be solved, but just wanted to give a heads up.

Yeah I know what you mean. No doubt the nose would look top notch, but the rest of it...not so much.

To me it looks like a Potez 36 but, if so, I'm not sure which one it is of the many variants on this design. Hesitating, it could be also a 43 or 58. I do have difficulty distinguishing between them!

Looking forward to these. I'm not on Facebook so please give us a "heads-up" where and when new repaints are posted. At the moment all I see is the Australian Army version in Library.:encouragement:

:wavey:Howdy, The flight from HSFS to HSNH was kind of uneventful with the exception of the airport at El Nahud, HSNH. It is short around 3600 feet and made up of gravel, so this is going to be very interesting for the DC-6. Tried to bring her in short or close to the end of the runway, hit the runway and threw on the reverse and held on. Wow! everything is cool we made it. To make thing a little worst we needed to dump some fuel in order to get down to our landing weight. Now the idea it to be able to fly out, just hopping these here folks don't have so much stuff that it would again place us on weight. Pictures: I caught our wild friend from the big state of Texas with the camera and finally got his picture. hehe. The next picture is of all of us at the airport HDNH.

I'm currently considering buying a Cougar HOTAS off a guy on the DCS forums. Will go nicely with my F-18C, A-10 and Mirage I think. Next modules to purchase will be the F-16, Persian Gulf and... I might get the F-14.

It's an interesting project surely, and well done, but allow me to point out two things, 1) uvw mapping is basically part of the modeller's task - since you have learned how to create a good mesh you might just as well learn how to map it. And 2) you did ask for help regarding a specific texture material for the cockpit windows in another forum. You received a reply and an offer of a recipe (by me) but failed to give any reply, with the result that I deleted my suggestions. Better make sure you do not let that happen again. Sincerely, Manfred

So tempting to modify the MS aircraft but it would be weeks worth of work for a just ok model.

Thanks, Walter! Did you know that one of the V-55 (the YU-CXE) is getting restored? http://www.aviotehnika.hr/projekti/restauracija-v-55/ High-wingers seem to be popular at the moment, so here is another one.
