    Absolutely outstanding news and great shots. I think youíve done a great job on the shape of the camera bays. Theyíre subtle but complex and easy to get incorrect. I hope you donít mind a bit of constructive input - bear in mind I was involved in the original, so Iím pretty attached to the subject and this model. A potential area to look at is the nose. I say potential, since itís tricky with the black radome still painted. The common pre TPS (gull grey over white) never, to my knowledge, had the full nose painted. They were generally white underneath, with the top painted black to match the anti-glare black area forward of the cockpit.     It wasn't the goal initially. I said I'd be happy to move over there. I do agree with you on P3D being a no brainer, hence why I was seriously considering it. I don't like that X-Plane doesn't have many features it should. I also hate to pretty much lose my personally built payware fleet. That saddens me. No More Waco YMF-5, which I JUST Bought, and many others, including my brand new Xtreme Lear 20 Series. I can't keep both sims installed, as of right now. FSX is on my bigger SSD, by itself. XP is on the smaller one, so I'm going to have to Nuke FSX to make room for it; With my four MSE States, it won't fit anywhere else. I could, however, move it to my HDD, but I have no idea where to start on moving an FSX installation and have it remain crash free, no pun intended. I...

    Couldn't agree more. They were great in their day. I don't mean FSX is over with prejudice, just that I'm shocked that all these newer and simpler things are in XP 11. I agree on XP being ROUGH for years. Another reason I discounted XP 11 so heavily; don't judge a new book by its prequels' covers. Daube, my understanding is that, in the scenery pack.ini, the libraries don't matter in terms of their order? It sounds like I'm wrong. I'll have to read up on this.

    Great news folks, the wonderful Phil at Virtavia has given me permission to release the RF-8A/G conversion as freeware :jump: I'm going to make some last minor model adjustments and I'd really like to try to add that unique "hump" on the upper fuselage to really get the shape right before final texture improvements. Release should be good within a couple of weeks. Model now also converted for P3D v4 - both types will be included so that all users can enjoy the update, regardless of platform. A quick shot of the current build in P3D v4, over San Diego.

    OK, another question probably solved a long time ago but need help anyway. I've added an A/C to my list, modified the AIR and CFG files to suite my flying. Everything is great, handles well lands (for me) like a dream. But when I use it in missions the wing men touch down, nose over, flop around like fish out of water then crash. I never tried it before my mods in missions so I'm not sure that effected it. Tried lowering pitch MOI, no help and curiously enough there is no brake strength listing in either the CFG or AIR files. Any ideas? :banghead:

    Hi Folks, Took Jamie's info, ran with it...and after two solid days..of modifying, testing, swearing and then more modifying, testing and swearing..lol...got it...and it bloody well works well! :triumphant: TBH I'm amazed it works as well as it does and am very pleased with the results. So thank you ol' TB for the steer....:very_drunk: I had already built the trolley and most of the externals of the Ar234, so could focus on this element. So as you can see it has RATO, which operate with smoke, and I've animated them to drop quite realistically. A deployable retard landing parachute. Opening top cockpit hatch.     You guys are terrible putting forth all this X-Plane propaganda in the P3D Forum. As someone who has tried both and have stuck with P3D, mainly because of usability, since I have used the MS flight sims for a very long time moving to P3D was a no brainer, while I continually struggle to figure out how to do simple things in XP. While I agree v11 is better than those before, (I have tried every version since v8) remember the slogan for v11 is "More powerful. Made usable", meaning they admit all previous versions were unusable and I think they still have a way to go, but since this is a p3d forum I wont go into detail. As to using FSX aircraft in P3D, the vast majority I have tried work great in V4, and I have a lot of them in my collection. Notable AC that did not work are those...

    I think this addon below is the one I had in mind in my previous reply in your other topic: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/35172-airport-environment-hd/ As mentioned in the description text, be very careful on how you install it, and where you put it in the scenery_pack.ini. I have not installed it yet, but it's on my todo-list ;)
