Its definitely not a history lesson fully based on facts. We are perhaps not the group of people this movie was intended for. I saw a lot of distracting errors, but its nice as educational entertainment :biggrin-new:. Stefanie Martini is definitely worth to watch :biggrin-new:. Cheers, Huub

Thanks Klaus, Just downloaded them and they look great. Did you do something different on the deck for Langley and Graf Zeppelin? On the other carriers you have produced it was fun to use the P3D avatar and wander around the deck but for these ships once you pop out of your aircraft your frozen in place. Second question I assume the ship identified as USS C-2 Charleston is most likely really USS Charleston (C-22) the cruiser that served from 1905 to 1922 not USS Charleston (C-2) which served from 1888 until lost in 1899 and probably never saw one of those newfangled flying machines.

The pack has been updated again. Thanks to Greg for changing the missions to start directly from the carriers. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=43&id=25959

Thanks Bwf. for the exelent explanation!. I replace some ships of stock Microsoft models, because they have not a appropriate scale, in this early maxstuka ships pack also thought in future about adjusting the scale of this stock ships, but has no sense because all the others ships were in harmony colors, for example Kongo, nagato and fuso are VN models and perfect and the Yamato was repainted like its to add but the Kongo of the stock model has limitations to repaints. The final resolution (plan) is replace the stock kongo for the VN model to respect the armony and has not tons of ships models (big list) with models that We do not use and bother the search, taking longer or generating confusion.

About RAF 303 (Polish) Squadron during BoB. Actually not a lot of fighting but interesting. Also all with tracers which means like many of us, they didn't know the RAF did not use them really in BoB.

I had just discovered this trick. If you need to build an antenna wire attaching to the canopy and you don't want to see the wire poking into the canopy after it is opened. You can build it using 2 or more f_canopy animation parts (See the attached images).

Ah HA... I suspected this but wasn't aware that it could be disabled. I can't (well I can..) fly without RW weather anymore. This was actually an issue back in the FSX days but I thought they worked through all that nonsense. Would you happen to know if REX weather is causing this same thing. I seem to keep jumping from one the the other because of this stuff. Also, not using flyinside anymore as it was causing too many crashes. Thank you for the assist. LouP

"running water lines into the upper levels of the few trees around the house " - that's a neat idea. If you get a crown fire though, unless it's a 6 inch steel watermain at 5000 psi, I don't think it would be much good..... My nephew and his family have had to leave their property near Balmoral village this morning - south of Sydney inland from Wollongong. The RFS basically told them to, even with house sprinklers, etc. Told last Thursday the fire front would be 8 days away - now it's due this afternoon or tomorrow! They had to put down one of their old horses yesterday - he just wouldn't be moved and they couldn't leave him there.....it's a shocker!

I asked Matt Wynn that same question. My first thought was that it might have been a "wrap", but he said he was sure it had been done probably by a team of painters. . .still seems crazy to me, but effective.

You are welcome. Just FYI, the files are still awaiting approval before being publicly available. Also, I have 165GB in research and reference files for these aircraft. I'll make that available on an as requested per aircraft basis.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Ships Description: CV-1 USS Langley aircraft carrier / AV-3 USS Langley seaplane tender USS Langley (CV-1/AV-3) was the United States Navy's first aircraft carrier, converted in 1920 from the collier USS Jupiter (AC-3), and also the US Navy's first turbo-electricpowered ship. Conversion of another collier was planned but canceled when the Washington Naval Treaty required the cancellation of the partially built Lexington-class battlecruisers Lexington and Saratoga, freeing up their hulls for conversion to the aircraft carriers Lexington and Saratoga. Langley was named after Samuel Pierpont Langley, an American aviation pioneer. Following another conversion to a seaplane tender, Langley fought in World War II. On 27 February...

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Ships Description: The German aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin was the lead ship in a class of two carriers of the same name ordered by the Kriegsmarine of Germany. She was the only aircraft carrier launched by Germany and represented part of the Kriegsmarine's attempt to create a well-balanced oceangoing fleet, capable of projecting German naval power far beyond the narrow confines of the Baltic and North Seas. The carrier would have had a complement of 42 fighters and dive bombers. Construction on Graf Zeppelin began on 28 December 1936, when her keel was laid down at the Deutsche Werke shipyard in Kiel. Named in honor of Graf (Count) Ferdinand von Zeppelin, the ship was launched on 8 December 1938, and was 85% complete by the...
