Well that depends on how you arrange your addons folder in P3D I'm not a fan of every plane being completely separate so I have mine arranged by developer/publisher, that way the Sim only has to call on one add-on.xml per dev/pub instead of one for every single plane. e.g. for GAS I have "E:\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\Golden Age Simulations" with Effects, Gauges and SimObjects in that. I also don't install directly where possible, I install to a temp folder and copy across. If I delete a plane I'm not too fused about orphaned effect or gauge files, If a plane doesn't call on them the Sim doesn't know there there so they wont have any affect on loading or memory usage.

I'll have a look at the model later. In the meantime, the original tail beacon entry in the aircraft cfg was commented out in favor of the attached light effect. Landing/taxi lights illuminating the VC is a known issue and is something only Lockheed Martin can fix. Some of my converted models have this issue and is something I can't fix

I reloaded the fix and the tail and bottom aft fuselage red beacons seem better - Thank you Dan The landing lights (IMHO) are aimed at the forward fuselage and the light is glancing off the sides of the fuselage. I think a light alignment is needed Thanks for the fix Dan

I had the same rudder/yaw problem. I rebooted my rudder pedals and all is well now. Just like the cockpit switch issue, which I have seen in other aircraft, it seems to me that with some of the updates that MSFS does makes the peripherals sometimes lose their settings and there is a cockpit switch issue going on due to the last update. I probably didn't notice it was an Asobo issue at first because I've had so little time to fly lately, but had to take the Learfan out for a spin when it became available. Now if I could just figure out my throttle calibration issue, it would be perfect.

That´s certainly the best thing you can do Ivan. So for all others, I added a second beacon on the fin, but it was not possible to let it move with the fin. I had to leave it static but it blinks, and that´s the main goal. The fslabs light was turned away from the fuselage in my version but somehow it reverted to old values in my upload. Changed the values back to 8 degree deflection away from the fuselage, looks better but have no idea, how the real plane had it though. Please download the fix again if you did before.

As an aside, I've noticed that a few of your versions of the Stearman and this N3N use a few of the same effects, so for that reason, I installed GAS products in my addon folder so as to not eliminate any effects that share the same name; if I were to remove one of the GAS aircraft, I would want to avoid the possibility of crippling any installed GAS products.

That "fix" ,mdl killed the red beacon on the tip of the tail (no beacon) Reverted to having both upper and lower red beacons.

On the real Rockwells a red tail light (beacon) is on the tip (top) of the tail for a reason. That one needs to be illuminated I would think.

My test was in Golden wings. Now as I understand to simplify making a gazillion airports look period, some taxiway/apron textures were deleted or changed in GW. This is what leads to scenery developers having to sometimes release GW specific Afcads depending on which surface textures they utilise. SW does not do this as it is a halfway house between GW and stock, utilising other features of GW, etc, but not all the airport texture changes. This might be something to do with the differences between both results. If the textures are present in both, I would suggest looking at their alpha channels.

Thanks and very interesting AC. It is, of course, one of the the 'holy grails' of the sim. Unfortunately, until the whole sim can be unlocked/read, then one part really creates more questions than answers.... As we all know M$ will NEVER let us have the source code, but more power to your programming investigation...I can but hope..:applause: Cheers Shessi

Anyway to tame the brightness of these lights. A lot of the light effect is bouncing off the fuselage and looking back at the aircraft gives me the illusion of lights on the sides of the fuselage.

Hi George Thanks for sharing the unblocked model. I replaced the attached lights in the model, which were moved to strange positions during conversion from FS9. Landing lights are no at exact positions on the main gear strut. Also the beacon is on the lower tail
