I am so excited about this!!! One of the neatest, toughest Business Jets Ever. Especially the 65. Sadly, these airplanes have all but disappeared until now!! Thank You, Thank You...

Good grief, Gentlemen!! Of course you can watch *.wmv video with VLC player. Or Windows Media Player. Or Media Player Classic. What you CAN'T do is watch the FS9 'Lessons' (or, 'Saved Flights') because they consist of *.flt and *.wx files which those players can NOT handle. They are only viewable thru/by FS9 itself. And the question or problem is that the OP can't understand why he can't watch the Lessons 'video' whereas before he could. He suspects that the cause is his going from XP to Win 7. So now we have to find out what he did. Did he install FS9 into Windows 7? Or did he just copy his FS9 installed files over from XP? We need to hear from his as to what he did so we can help him solve this 'problem'. I don't think it's a Win 7 security update, either. I am just trying to help....

See here: With Tom's help I got the DC-6B working well in P3Dv4 after swapping out some blurred prop textures and playing with the alpha channel. Otherwise they disappeared altogether at speed. With the Starliner I cannot get the props to spin more than in start up or shut down motion in flight. None of the tricks used with the DC-6B were of any help. Still, it is fabulous to have these big beasts aloft in 64 bit P3D, even if further tweaks to the model or textures may be needed.

That's great news! I surely miss that old An-2. That and the Saab were favourites of mine. The Saab is still working in FSX-SE but the An-2 ain't. So... delighted!!

Yes, the Aerosoft/Octopus G version is splendid, but still needs updating. The Sibwings version was in a similar state when communication ceased. The competition this will foster can be NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS for our Annuschka. The Sibwings version was more visceral, the Aerosoft/Octopus G version a bit more sterile. BOTH Sibwings and Octopus G could improve their customer communication/interaction skill set. ALEXANDER METZGER DID BOTH FDEs and so they both fly wonderfully- that too will fully evolve in the next releases. 2019 is shaping up quite wonderfully after the Horribus Annus that was 2018...

I am with JAFO on this one. Not sure where the Geek gets his info from but I have been doing some work for one the world's largest aerospace combines all the PC's are networked worldwide and everyone gets Windows 7 - talked to the head IT guy here, no intention of going to WIN10 which they regard as a dog. Not sure what they mean by support anyway, the endless fixes for so called security bugs etc. I do an update about every six months and there are always tons of files to be updated so it is still ongoing most of it is probably unnecessary anyway for your average user. Probably just dropping in more corporate spyware and stuff like that. I gave Google Chrome the boot about a month ago and went over to Opera as a browser it works just fine takes up a tenth of the space and is lightning...

The fix for P-3C ORION was done as follows. Editing for ORION in P3D 1. Change of lighting There is no bug where the light source is shifted in P3D, so there is no need to fix it as a model part. Therefore, without applying self-illumination parts that require GMAX, I assigned effect files attached to P3D to CFG using coordinates.

Hi Chuck, As Mark already showed the video's are all in .wmv (Windows Media Video) format. What I understood from Arrowmaker is that he just wanted to watch the videos with John and Martha King. The .wx and .flt files contains the flight and weather data of stored (exercise) flights. It is possible to use FS9 and Media player Classic simultaneously, but both should be windowed of course. Cheers, Huub

Hello Ulrich, Sorry if I come back with new errors detected by P3D v4.4. After manipulating all the commands and starting the engine, there are still some problems: 1 / error = Failed to load visual effect "fx_avro621_startup_v1" 2 / Four errors resulting from the compilation of the mdl file. It seems that the compilation removes the spaces in the statements if {1} els {0} by replacing them with if {1} els {0}. (file attached) 3 / The throttle is not at idle but at 4%. The parking brake must be applied to stop the aircraft.
