A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Campaigns Add-Ons Description: This is an historical campaign, centered on the wartime battles of the USS Saratoga CV-3. She survived several torpedo hits and a kamikaze attack and it took an atomic bomb to sink her. The campaign is semi historical in a sense, because it contains one “what if” mission. The dates, ship names, Task Force and squadron designations nomenclature and compositions for all US and most IJN ship types are historically accurate. They, along with dates and background comments were gotten from the "WW2 Task forces list" website and from Wikipedia. Actual Task force formations, courses and exact launch coordinates are a best guess. The campaign runs from a “what if” Wake Island relief scenario –...

Excellent! Thank you! I also found out today that the Jaguar is to be the next Ctrl-Ezy product. Sweet! :applause: I saw the images of the instrument panel over n the P3D forum too. The M55 motorway is not far from me... and I used to work at BAe Warton (initially on Tornados, but did get a hands on walk-around and under a Jag (sadly no look in the cockpit) for a weapons trial.)

Orbx stuff is mostly fine. They have a v5 compatible list of their scenery. Make sure you have your insertion points in the correct spot. Otherwise, the GPU counter is your best friend. It took me a bit to get everything settled down, but can fly most anywhere on a 6gig card, even Heathrow with Enhanced Atmospherics. Cloud rez played the biggest factor. The frame rates are unbelievably good. Caveat: I don't use PMDG ;)

We've updated the version to 1.1 and have fixed a few of the above issues , got a few other bugs that havent been noted and added a decimal point to the ADF. Vendors have been notified and our own customers and simmarket purchasers can get it now.

Exactly. How can Max make the advantage of the long life of the yellow tyre over the red soft tyre? It will be an interesting race. My bet is on Bottas. Cheers Chriis

I have received some bug reports. In particular with the VC not working properly for FSX users and the DC-10-10 model seems to have corrupted improper animations for the landing gear and the ailerons. The gear are not fully locked when on the ground. They look like they are still in pre-landing "droop" and the ailerons animation is completely frozen. So far I believe with the FSX users copying the dc10interior_t and dc10interior_l textures from one of the main textures may solve this by pasting those into the panel folder. FSX is a bit particular for where it looks for textures unlike P3D. Hoping that fixes the FSX issue. I don't have FSX so trouble shooting for it is difficult. I will be having to release a hotfix for the -10 model however.

Well I'll come out and say it. IF you don't have an 8gig video card, don't bother. V4.5 is the better running, better looking(because you can't use the V5 features) sim. My day-to-day test rig still runs a 6gig card and I can't use ORBX or any other enhancement in V5. I can't run high-end add-ons either. V5 still has many bugs too. 4k textures are also a no-no.

You're very welcome. I thought having these in the sim was a must. Especially with how much they've been in the news fighting all the large fires in the US and in Australia this year.

Synching ORBX is a must. I also experienced the random water tiles and so forth. As for the sunken and/or raised airfields...not so much can be done about that until ORBX does something with Vector.

Me too. Have you installed the OrbX library ? Have you set your insertion points ? Have you synced the scenery in OrbX Central ?

A dual-boot system is also an option – I used to do that with Win7 and XP back in the day. :biggrin-new: Just so long as your hardware supports Win7; a lot of new gear just doesn't support it.

My restoration process takes about 2 days to get everything running again. I've gone from losing everything the first time it happened, to preserving everything so I can recover and reinstall it, so that's progress I suppose. The sad thing is that Win 10 asks if you want to keep your files or wipe everything out and start over. You tell it that you want to keep everything, and it then proceeds to do a semi-destructive update anyway. Their explanation is that you may need to update your programs to be compatible after the "upgrade", so they're just getting things started for you...
