Howzit guys.:wavey: Textures in the screenshots are "512x512". Like the last set, I will provide a "256x256" version for fps. Higher res textures don't seem to look better in this sim strangely enough, appear a bit fuzzy. Originally I did play with lighting and sharpness settings, but the textures start to look very ugly and messy if you sharpen them too much, have to work with what is available(google earth). I settled for the brightness in the images after much experimentation. Cities were pretty dark and dirty, sooty, back then. The textures are never going to look great on the deck, they have to be reduced in size way too much, 512 and 256. Personally, within reason, I'm not too bothered with historical accuracy in a terrain, just want something that to my eye,...

I have been looking at remote boat activities near the Belgian coast during the First World War. The type of boat used was radio-controlled, either from a companion boat or from a seaplane within visual range. The remote boats were targeted at coastal infrastructure such as jetties and wharves as well as RN Monitors bombarding German shore installations. To explode against a ship the remote vessel needs to be an "aircraft", but which DP/s need to be altered to score a hit without sinking the target ship? Does the "target" need a tougher DP or does the remote "aircraft" need to have some alteration to its DP?

Although there are good resources available using old maps and aerial photographs and cinematography. I would call the application of these resources a bit more than a hot guess. Perhaps the best things done around here are the careful application of good research.

Hi all, Have a question for the mission builders out there. In order for a spawn to be triggered, does the type of mission matter? For example, does the mission need to be a strike mission for certain spawns to be triggered? Second question I have is it possible to set up ground spawns such as tanks advancing on friendly forces?

From looking at the pic you posted, it looks like there is a photoreal background and the afcad is off center, or vice versa. Not having the Asia region installed yet. As soon as it's done installing I'll check to see if it's a problem on my setup and report back. Joe

Good evening, It has begun... "title_string"=BoF Kampfgeschwader - Sunrise above Ypenburg "summary_string"=Piloten der Luftflotte! The great offensive in the west has begun, & you are part of the initial force that will attack airfields in Holland. As one of the first units to see action, your He-111s will hit the airfield at Ypenburg, & destroy aircraft hangars, fuel stores, ammunition crates, & parked aircraft, trying to keep the enemy on the ground. Let's show the Dutch that they cannot resist our might! "objective_string"=On the morning of 10 May, Heinkel 111s of I/KG 4 raided the Dutch airfield at Ypenburg as part of the organized effort by the Luftwaffe to destroy much of the Dutch, Belgian, and French air forces on the ground. In this, their effort was especially successful...

Shouldn't be much difference since Alphasim and Virtavia are the same company, pre- and post-FSX. Models sold under the Virtavia name were however recompiled per the FSX SDK rather than being just simple FS9 portovers. So as I type this, yeah, I guess they are different. Both used xml gauges so there shouldn't be any issues there, even in P3Dv4. And any repaint textures should work for both. :ernaehrung004:

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Military skins - World War II Description: 'Maybe' Paint for Nigel's Avro Tutor. K3460 was one of a batch of 277 Tutors' delivered to RAF, to contract 195190/32 to meet Specification 25/32, between March, 1933 and December, 1935. The only reference found is that is was struck off charge to Lundy & Atlantic Coast Airways at Barnstaple; on 4th May 1944 having previously served on the Station Flight at RAF Thornaby, N Yorkshire. Thornaby was a Coastal Command station, so I've painted it per the DTD360 23 Feb 1943 document appendix 5; "Aircraft for Coastal Duties except PR, Met, ASR and Special Duties.

:devilish: Hi There! After an all night affair we finally got the C-119 #2 engine just perking right along like it should run. Soon as it is light we will try to take off DNYO Jos, Nigeria, we should catch up with the flight before they take off FTTJ. The weather station said we would have light rain, but it was raining like heck, and I thought I saw a fish swimming down the overflow from the rain. Hehe Dudley yell at me and said I was crazier than a loon. We got off OK and was climbing to altitude when all heck broke loose. Bouncing, being pushed up and down, and of course all the rain. Mr. Dudley said if we had some nice cream in this poopie we would be making butter and butter milk. Now that idea of butter milk just turned me off. hehe. It clear up for a short period, but...

mongoose replied to a thread mos files in CFS3 General Discussion
Hmmmm1 There are quite a few aircraft around in both 1024 and 2048 without mos files. I assume one has to have the source files to solve that. Re airfields, I suppose I should do 2 versions of the mos files and see what happens; just change the mos file properties, or also the dds values?

"Tried installing ETO but when running first upload file the title of the MultiCFS3 window that pops up is "MDL Patcher" and not "CFS version 3.1 found" Are you saying tETO doesn't install basically from the beginning? where did you get and what download ETO version are you trying to install? So then I don't get what you mean about the MultiCFS3 as that implies you have actually installed the ETO files? Do you mean when first using the masterstartup bat, or before using the cfg exe? What happens in the appdata folder if you just put in "CFS3 ETO Expansion________" or whatever in the MultiCFs3? Also all my multiCFS3 says is Combat Flight Simulator 3.0" even if I know it is 3.1.

I think that the scenery mos files don't have the same size limitations as the aircraft ones, but I don't know for sure. Since the mos files are how the damage effect decals are assigned, I would think that without one you would never see any visible damage accumulating as the 3D model gets shot up.
