Hello Ivan, I see. Then its just as well you mentioned the different lengths depending the type of nose, so Ill check the length for the solid nose before posting another WIP. I also noticed small differences in the placing of the 4 nose-tip machine-guns, and Ill check how the RAAF Havocs had theirs. Anyway, I finally got the plain flaps in, and with no bleeds! I went scrounging for free components and got 4, and managed to separate outer wings into mid- and outer components, also getting outer flaps into components. As a result, the glue-sequence works very well, and the filler-triangles are back in. All rather satisfying! Now I only have to re-map the fuselage textures, as one of the components came from the fuselage, and this has upset the original...

Pam Booker and I are getting pretty close to a release on the OzX Goose Redux HD for MSFS (phew what a mouthful), though we might need to change the working title. Pam remains the only active member of the OzX team who updated the original FSX Goose and we've spent a lot of time with this beauty making her even better for MSFS by replacing all of the old 2D XML Instruments with 3D Gauges, upscaling all of the textures to 4K using AI Upscaling and creating PBR textures for all of the liveries as well. I'm not positive but I think I've encountered this as well. A few times I have found myself needing to click on the ATC response number as it seems the keypress did nothing. - dcc

Patience is indeed a virtue but I have said it before and I'll say it again... There are numerous comments out there along the lines of "I'm not buying any more add-ons for P3D/FSX/whatever...I'll wait for MSFS" That's all fine but the point is that until the development process becomes more user friendly (by that I mean Dev-friendly) it is going to take a LONG time for the average small to medium developer to make add-ons to the expected standards. In the meantime, developers need to sell to survive. They can't live on "patience". The only products most have to sell and more importantly, are faster to develop new are for the FSX/P3D platform. If nobody wants to buy then those devs will begin to fade. That is a fact.:engel016:

Hmmm! Well it would seem that might be the limitation WRT making them only show to either a friend or enemy. I hate to go the spawn route as that is difficult, not to mention lots of spawns and work!

lol - they went after a number of small issues...which made for a not so small update patch...is that better? I like it - Flying over Las Vegas in the Baron was possibly smoother just now than last night. Is anyone else though having issues with switching the ATC on or off to reply to or call out and then momentarily losing control inputs? I sometimes have to mouse over to the ATC window and close it that way because the keyboard 'tab' key loses functionality - along with the stick I thought at first i was inadvertently activating the auto pilot but that isn't it at all - it seems to be a bug but I haven't seen anyone mention it.

All NATO ammo is standard across the board for all small arms including 12.7mm (.50) It was 1 in 5 for stock ammo 4 ball 1 tracer, or 2ap 2api 1apit is the other readily used combo. Ive used plenty of US ammo for 12.7mm over yrs and the only thing that's different across all nations is how lot numbers are identified by the manufacturer. However you learn about them and the differences

This may be a stupid question, but will it work in FSX or just FSX-SE ?

Using SGSSAA can go a long a way toward making wires look like wires, but there are some models where it's just not enough. I've learned to live with the limitations of the game engine trying to render a few poorly modeled objects as long as I can make everything else look really good, and SGSSAA does that pretty well most of the time. If the straight edges of the aircraft (window framing, antenna masts, etc.) look smoothed by AA, but the wires don't, then it's being driven by how the wires have been modeled. If the aircraft looks stair stepped as well then the AA is not working effectively. The technology behind SGSSAA is that the game is calculating everything at a 2x, 4x, or 8x higher resolution virtually (not unlike DSR), and then downscaling back to native resolution to show...

well they are like guns in that they aim at enemy aircraft but I'm assuming they don't use a muzzle blast effect for the light

Ah! Maybe that's it. You are correct in that tow_search_white.dds is used by tow_searchlight_white.M3D. In fact it seems all those kind of lights have dds related files in their m3d files. So strictly speaking they are not like guns at all??

Lancaster WU15 French Aeronavale - out of Tontouta. Sure is hard to find details or history of these Lanc's in the Pacific, New Caledonia or Tahiti.
