I know you're a busy man John ,but wanted to ask you if you ,in the future, could make some new skins for Ted's He-219 series ? Such lovely models in need of some modernizing ,bump mapping,Ankor's shaders , ect. Your work is always excellent and would bring new life to this wonderful model. Thanks for your consideration. Regards,Scott

John, I cant explain this here, I can guess because I don't have this Spitfire, but that's how they work in the other planes or on G1000. Try for example default G1000 in any module (the first bigger, top knob for change active to active freq, COM or NAV). Here it works for me as described and nothing crashes.

Agreed, to each their own and it's great to have options. If I owned and flew a real P-38 I wouldn't have the gunsight -- no need. In MSFS I'll be flying in modern, civilian skies as if I'm flying a restored P-38, so wouldn't want it blocking my view. But that's just me. I totally get why some may want it though and that's great. No angst here. :adoration: - dcc

Hi jetstreamsky Believe me no angst in this posts. Someone said prefers flying with no gunsight, I said will not buy a war model without one. Know about cockpit options, mentioned two planes I bought with that feature. Absolutely no problems, angst about this. Regards

Your skin was a nice excuse to take this old tub for a ride in P3D again last night, and it looked great. I did convert your skins to DXT5 DDS and reverted to the original shared textures. Quite enjoyable and so much better looking than the FCS skins. August

I donít know why thereís so much angst about gunsights, the FlyingIron MSFS spitfire has one switchable with a GPS for those who want one, the existing X-Plane Lightning pulls the same trick and as both models have cannons sticking out of them, it would be really odd without a sight. edit: see at 1:09 https://youtu.be/eEICzmyKdjI

There are numerous You Tube videos on the subject of getting started with DCS. In fact too many if anything. :dizzy:

Mine's finally done. I switched to Ethernet (normally stay on wireless) and that boosted the speed quite a bit. (I really need to look into replacing my 20+ year old wireless AP...) There's a very small update to the WU6 package in the Content Manager when you're done.

I would like to see a Cessna 172 not taxi on the runway for 8000 feet before exiting, with ATC telling them to turn off at next taxiway every taxiway. :)

Hi YoYo, I am left clicking, holding, and right clicking. It worked the first time I tried, but the sim froze. The next time, it didn't work??? The sim is locking up, so I don't think it is clicking outside and losing screen focus. I "think", but I have slept at least twice since, this has happened on one other aircraft? So, it could be something on my end?

As John T. said above, none of the currently airworthy P-38s have gunsights, even though most have otherwise authentic cockpits. They may look cool, but nobody wants to eat one in a hard landing. These comments are valuable though because they show that sim players are living out a variety of different fantasies and developers should cater to all of them by having multiple cockpit options where feasible. That was already being done by a number of vendors in FSX. August
