Rami, I think I have cross connected my replies. Can you possibly delete all those I have given to this thread. Thanks to 'Arfur Itis' I have appear to have messed up completely! Graham.

Bearcat241; it's nice you to state that XP is the best. From my operating system 8.1' it all started to morph from an operating system to a snoop system which covers its cancerous activities by bloating you with toys and colours. Back in the sixties I worked for H.M.G. in England on intelligence work. The first job I ever did was a telephone tap on a subscriber in London. Six weeks after the tap was done the Six Day War happened. The gentleman was an arab. This is the first time I have put this out, not because I think I'm some sort of James Bond, just because I'm sick of believing in my Country. There comes a time when others who hide in the woodwork use you as a puppet. Far queue all! I'm waiting for some little turd, who is following orders, to turn up around the 's'...

Bearcat; for what it's worth you are right in my observations. Given the most input I can do is turning the kit on; . I put all the wonderful addon stuff in it and all is well, including FS2004, , and all is well. Nuffin gorn rong! I don't have any problem 'cos I use the great Irish statment; 'To be sure, to be sure'. This is not only to keep my machine un-adulterated from me but mostly to stop the 'gentlemen' at Micro$hyte 'improving my experience'. The differences between 'Bull$hyte and Micro$hyte is becoming difficult to differentiate. Everything I have input in this answer is based on my ignorance. I am happy with that. Just part of the rainbow... As the song goes; Seven Golden Daffodils.

Gents; in the end all you have to do is listen or see on the net the great George Formby's song 'Count your blessings and smile'. Not sure about the 'raison d'etre' but the tune always manages to raise my spirit. Graham.

To get the ship into AICarriers all you need from the Kongo download zip file is the "ai_IJN Battleship Kongo" folder. Copy that to your FSX SimObjects/Boats folder and ignore the rest of the stuff for the time being. Frank covered the other things to check. Here is the Kongo entry in my aicarriers.cfg file and it shows up fine in my sim: title=IJN Battleship Kongo unit.0=ai_IJN Battleship Kongo, 0, 0 The "title=" line is free text, you can call the formation anything you want. I could have called it "Kongo Steaming Independently". However, on the "unit.0=" line you have to use the ship's title from its sim.cfg file.

Greetings, could any one help this thread? At the worst there'd be two chaps who'd be well happy for the assistance. Graham.

Nice work Unc, if I only had the skills... As an aside, how many ferries are still 'werrkin' across the Mersey? In the mid '60s I can still see meself sitting on the keyside waiting for the boat after a 4.a.m. start from London, waiting for the crew to pump the last vestiges of 'squirt' out of my tank in order to allow my Goldie and me on board. Even now I can see it all in my mind's eye. The block ships as we sailed silently 'tween them. And three hours later, out of the mist, came 'The Manx Submarine'. right in the middle of Douglas approach.

I gotta ask, did you make that image with the toy tractor? Or is that in some past sim add-on? I like the choice of machinery. (I work for Caterpillar :mixed-smiley-010: ) I live about 3 hours from Chicago and go there a lot. I visited Miegs several times before it was destroyed. I remember going there after we moved to Illinois in the mid 90s. My wife questioned my sanity when I insisted we visit the airport so I could see the place I had 'flown out of' all those times on the old versions of the sim. Nowadays there's a park there it's actually pretty nice, and has a great view of the city skyline, but I'd still rather see the airport and the planes. - dcc

The 337 could not handle the ramble. Must be high alt of the Rockies and the bitter cold at 12,000'. (Succumbed to built-in failures or some such). Seen in better days:
