I agree that this comes with a 2D but I have a VC that will be added to the final model which will NOT be a "showstopper". I agree that back in the day I would have never used a VC and now I never use a 2D except popups if the VC is difficult to manage like an overhead. Don't give up on it yet.

Actually pretty nice exterior and the interior could use some texture updating but unfortunately being an FS9 model there's no VC (only a 2D panel from the CRJ-700) which is a showstopper for me.

Glad to help. Having this beauty in MSFS has given me new interest in flying the sim. Very much appreciated.

This may seem a bit harsh and may temper your expectations. I believe this product will grow into the middle ground between MSFS and DCS. With Dino's MB 339 its hard not to compare.

The Global Vector product has the same effect on mine at times (elevation problems at some airports), however Global Vector also has a Configuration Tool that allows you fix many of those (Airport Elevation Corrections Tab). Certainly a better Graphics card could be part of the problem, also In-Sim settings could make a difference as well.

Well, here is a new thread to offer an alternative to the Gulfstream in the thread that never will be it seems. I found two downloads of the G550 by Google and a panel with a VC as a separate offering. Here are two screenshots from the download. I will be checking this out and posting MY findings here. I am taking the word of the designer: The original version of this aircraft was designed for FS2004, and was nowhere near accurate with it's flight dynamics (it would not fly higher than about FL180). This version includes flight dynamic data that is known in the real-world. Do your own research and you will find that this plane is one of the best, based on the real-world data available. I have not invented anything in this aircraft, but simply worked the math to make her fly like...

I just did a Google and found two Gulfstream models at Flyaway Simulation for FSX. They obviously are not of this caliber but then again, they are available and they are free. They do show that a lot of work went into them and are claimed to have real flight dynamics by their designers. After I check them out I will start a new post here.

Hey Robin, Welcome back home! I'm really happy to hear that you're home and doing better. I wish you a quick and trouble-free recovery and that you'll have your strength and stamina back sooner than you dare hope!

If the aircraft is built in the sim to mimic RL as it should then there is a reason and you hit it on the head. Since it IS a Tundra, you don't fly it from the Midwest in summer LOL Duh :banghead: I was flying it in Alaska in real weather and should have know better. Way back years ago I had a Fiat X19 with manual choke and Strombecker carb that was in Illinois and exactly what you described is what I had to do in the winter until it got warmed up. It took me everywhere even in a foot of snow with good rally tires on it. So I will remember to crack the throttle. This Cessna doesn't have a primer I guess it has an auto-choke in the Lycoming in the sim and I will be sure to crack the throttle and keep it there until its warmed up. Should have remembered that too from flying a B-17 and...

Finally, I was discharged, after 3 weeks from a rehab/oxygen therapy hospital. That's a total of 5 weeks in 2 different hospitals. What a terrible journey its been. Pneumonia, renal failure etc. But I made it home. I'm walking, but very little muscle tone in my legs, so walking up and down steps is not easy. I get tired quite quickly, and getting stronger by the day. Thanks for all thoughts and wishes. That really kept me going.

Me too. I also own ORBX Global; Landclass and North America. I had trouble with elevations at airports when I had it installed and removed them from the sim. Then all the airports default and addon were normal again. Is there something I need to do when I get the runways in the valleys? I have Windows 7 64bit and 8GB Ram with a lesser video card. Since I only have a laptop to fly on any more there is no way to upgrade the video card. Maybe that is why yours looks better than mine with the better video card. I AM very pleased with the performance with full sliders in FSX with the new RAM I added.

Thank you my friend, the Ford C100 is a bonus too! I always thought that car was really hard done by, if Ford had dropped the problematic Cosworth DFL and gone for the Zakspeed T/C 4IL with decent support it should have done well in Group C. I went through my Lola books and the T310 series had an interesting career in Gr.C and IMSA.

Just as a matter of interest, what screen res are you running? I'm running at 3840x2160@144hz, previously on an older monitor at 2560x1440@120hz and never noticed anything like your problem. :indecisiveness:
