Ah, OK, thanks - I'd understood from the engine start video that opening the crew door and extending the ladder was the GPU toggle. So I assumed the ladder was needed because the GPU is needed. Cockpit GPU switch sounds good (and much safer!) Looking at the video more closely, I guess that starting 2, then 1 (and removing the ladder before starting 1) is a way to keep the crew un-hamburgered... Any chance of a battery start option for those of us that like to fly deep in the bush where GPUs don't live?

Thank you so much, Motormouse, worked like a treat for me !!! Webarchive didn't work, couldn't find a zip-file. Thanks again to everyone. :) Now I've got something to play with while on lockdown. I'm banned to spend next week at home (no quarantine, but short-time work), so I've got much time to get good old FS2004 running again. :)

Hi all, An excellent addition but not the only airworthy Meteor T7 still flying; extensively modified Meteor T7 G-JWMA ex WA638 is used by Martin Baker Ltd to test ejection seats, based at Chalgrove in Oxfordshire and flying earlier this month - 71 years young! Cheers, GJ

Is there a ladder at that door? and also at the rear door? Does the open pilots window increase engine sound?

Probably not but it is a no brainer if you just let the installer do it's thing. Otherwise maybe to a temp folder and then move things around. I've been flying it for a few days and it is a nice aircraft. A nice update from Piglet's FSX version a decade ago. :ernaehrung004:

Do you use a joystick? If so the trigger is typically mapped to the brakes. When I enable the AP on this aircraft I just click the trigger once (maybe twice or for a long "burst") and it works every time. Hope this helps. :ernaehrung004:

Alan-A, Opening the front door is not critical to engine start but the GPU is. So, in the SP we are changing the routine so that the GPU is independently toggled from the cockpit. Yo-Yo, we will look at your suggestion but there are other steps in the coding that may (or not) be compromised by changing it.:engel016:

While I was looking for better and more pics of a new noseart for the original 461st/764th B24J's I came across a new photo of Stinky's nose in B24s of the Fifteenth Air Force by Schiffer Publications. So I reopened up the fuselage psd's and went back to work making it more accurate before I finalize my contributions to Flight Replicas. Here are the new screenshots: It's interesting that the starboard and port side noseart are very different. Also, originally I did not have the port (left) side noseart positioned correctly nor did I have the correct type font for #3 or the mission markings. I'm glad that I caught all the discrepancies from my original efforts. Originally flown by the James O. Bean crew, this airframe eventually had all turrets removed for use as a...

Great news Shessi! The Beaufighter was always the 'ugly sister' to the Mosquito. But it did its share in the night battles over Europe and then gained from the Japanese the name 'Whistling Death' due to its distinctive engine note during an attack run on ground troops. The early marks had a poor rep in the anti-shipping role in the North Sea and off the Norwegian coast. Unable to maintain height with one-enging out, a lot of crews ditched in the northern seas and were lost. I have not yet researched the Merlin engined marks and this is a timely prompt. It looks a very nice model and accompanying VC. Thanks to all involved in breathing life into it. Mal

There is of course the Freestylestd MiG-29. Native FSX/P3D and has a more than decent VC! And very reasonably priced! Priller

Seconding Priller's observation and desires. There are plenty of radial-engined FSX Beaus out there but VERY few w/Merlins. The detailing in both cockpits is excellent. If you can somehow at some time fix this up for FSX it would be appreciated.

Has anyone got the RFN carrier gauge to work with the F-4? I'm trying to land a B on the Victorious (which seems to have happened once in '65!) but the landing sight needs the gauge to work. For some reason when I swap standby and active frequencies nothing goes to the active frequency. I've tried matching a working aircraft's panel and aircraft cfg files but no joy.
