I'm thankful my parents are here instead of New Jersey. My niece informed me NJ has the worst air quality they've ever had because of the fires in Canada.Seems the wind sent it as far south as the Carolina's. Hiede

Frank, that seems to be the problem. All glass areas are reflective like mirror sunglasses. See Greenhouse357's pic on his first post above. I got the same thing when I did the Brian Gladden conversion. Messing around with the glass textures in DXTBmp didn't do anything... Didn't make the glass transparent or less reflective.

I hate to quote myself :biggrin-new: but if anyone wants some alternate textures for the red white and blue Eagle, just drop a PM on me with your email addy. :wiggle: There were a couple of textures I modified and you can swap some or all of them into the folder depending on what you want. Basic mods- Chrome spinner, US registration (N75CE) on the tail, new (much cooler) hat for the pilot :loyal: and Sabelt style red shoulder harness. I also have the red harness and an alma mater ball cap (U. Maine) for the guy in the front seat. Both pilots also get classic David Clarke head sets with olive/pea green ear covers. I could upload the zip file but I don't think the interest will be that great. :ernaehrung004:

Is this a case where, during conversion, the glass material has been given a reflective property vs an opaque property? :ernaehrung004:

I spent the afternoon today redoing the apron side of the terminal. I am actually pleased with being able to better match all the photos I now have of that side of the terminal and am making custom textures for it from Sketchup Texture and also jpg textures on doors and windows. Looks good I think. I will have to see if I can get back to it before Monday with kinda of a busy week finishing up. The apron will butt up to the 10 foot high gray rectangles which are NOT on an incline I could see from more photos. There are different textures to the concrete as well with the recessed area gravel and grass (weeds?) which I was also able to get a custom texture for. Wish they were 3D though. Have to have P3D V5 to do that with PBR textures.

I've flown the latest updated Vision Jet once, but I had severe issues with Otto. Using FLC mode to climb to a commanded 15,000', climb rate was all over the place from 500 to 1600+, and then it kept climbing past 16,000'. I just ended the flight at the point. I may try again this weekend.

Too hot and smokey (horrible forest fire season so far) to go outside this weekend, so looking forward to air conditioning and a healthy diet of SBD missions to keep me indoors! Thank your son again for another appreciated update to some of my favorite missions, and to you as always for sharing them with us. Also very amazing to note, your son and Skylane have me fighting both sides of the war at the same time, in the same historical situations. It has been grand, and my flying skills are getting nasty.

Nice work Skylane, and indeed fast work. Many thanks for this. Still making my way through your Rufe campaign, but will definitely want to carry on in to 1943, your campaigns have been excellent. The period of this campaign has not been covered from the Japanese side before to my knowledge. I've flown many campaigns from the Japanese side, but none I can think of when they were on their heels and outmatched by Allied forces. One or two missions I can think of, but not many. I will find out for myself soon enough, but curious if there is an "Operation Vengeance" mission in there.

I really love the Cirrus Vision Jet. Fun to fly, can land on reasonably short fields, really wonderful flight modeling and visuals. I understand the HondaJet is similar quality, and I’ll likely pick that up if it ever goes on discount.
