Cough, cough! Meaning the intention was to get within 1% of the real flight behaviour. I've never flown in a real warbird, far less in combat on the ragged edges of the flight envelope of one, but the flight modellers of AvHistory did make a serious, credible attempt at simulating it in CFS. Their results are still the gold standard in flight models for CFS3, especially the 4.x versions. Gregory Pierson especially knew a lot more about this than muddlers like me.

Well Ted has already handed over those WOP aircraft as they are all either in SOH uploads or one of the other sites. Not to mention NC had a bad summer plus now winter weather wise! Hard to do stuff if you have to evacuate. As for work in progress; several people are always involved and they all have their own schedules and real life issues, so things take time. No point in wasting it by released half done stuff! That was done earlier and some never got beyond beta stage. Now there maybe a lot of people still flying CFS3, but very few post constructively here; I'm not sure of other sites like Sim HQ, etc., but I doubt it's many. More people are interested in Arcade type flying or go to the other main WWII choices at IL2, plus maybe some now to WOTR. CFS3 still has a massive amount to...

I have finally worked my way thru the model conversions for the tundra, skis, floats, and the 3 engine types for each set. I think I have all the cfgs and panels sorted now, so just need to go through and evaluate everything, see what needs to be done. Andre is working to complete the basic texture sets and should have that done soon. This is a really fun aircraft to enjoy.

Im not sure if i can make a good shot with this one, maybe because the plane shape and the camera view is like they're not connecting each other ...will find another way still thinking of it :biggrin-new:

Gary, The ski version was not converted to FSX native. Wouldn't be a big deal to do, maybe two days work, about 16-20 hours I suspect. I'll look at it, but still have the X-3, Lodestar, and Fleet 50K on my desk at the moment. BTW, I had the Fleet 50K skis in the mountain snow at Stewart, BC flying north of the airport. There are also plenty of places to enjoy also near Hope, AK just NE of the airport.

Yum, thanks, Wiek :) Would be possible to take some shots similar airplane position to what is available as download sheets at, see your image used for the Blitz there, or the other sheets - wallpapers ;) I would replace the Flugelrad art then, if you would agree.

I would prefer the BeamNG version. There would be no main body uw-map rework needed. However its not ready for gMax, needs to manually select and reassign the materials / textures firts. The main question is if to bother ever, yet to ask for permissions. I have to note a scratch made new Me 262 external mode is a matter of days when free time and the rest is same dirty work. Same as the Arado 234 project, which still is waiting to replace the helijahs overhauled model with own one :) I mean I would gladly give some initial support to someone who would interest to convert such airplane, but I personally would go the scratch made stuff way.

Installation on a networked computer was a breeze. I made a test flight, and the first thing I noticed was that the clouds look a lot more "fluffy". So far I am loving what I see. :encouragement: :very_drunk:

Thanks for the effort in making the bare metal bird. Any chance anyone has had luck masking out the guns and turret? I would like to repaint either a MAAM or RCS bird as a post-war TB-25. There were lots of neat paint jobs applied to the trainers and hacks. I particularly like the SAC versions. Tanks again, Norm

Glad to see that everyone is enjoying the Vulcan :encouragement: It's been such a busy few months that I've not had time to respond on here personally like I usually would, but just a quick post to say that we've now updated the product details on our website to better reflect the level of functionality included in this aircraft (it was a bit sparse before). We have continued to add more functionality since release and will add more over the coming weeks (hopefully including PBR materials for P3D v4.4). We will also make a demo available. Regarding pricing, it's a topic that we could write pages on but fundamentally it comes down to us needing to make a sufficient ROI on the product to make it worthwhile and to ultimately ensure our survival. I'm sure you can appreciate that the...

Downloaded, but it's still sitting in my download-directory, as I didn't find the time to install and test it so far. I don't fly CFS3 these days as much as I used to. Anyway: thanks a lot for creating it, its' realy apreciated!
