The updated packs can be found at simviation, added new gauges and fixed some things on the model and the vc works! Updated packs 2 and 3 are here on the bottom of the page. Updated Pack 1 is on top of this page, Below updated Pack 1 is the Virtavia F4 Phantom II Package (formerly known as Alphasim) but it might be the same pack Motormouse mentioned in his post that you can get at Virtavia Freeware. But be careful if you download it after you install the Updated Packs, because it might over write them. I'd rather use the Updated Packs myself, especially if the vc is working!

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Military skins - WWI Description: This is my repaint of the Fokker DR-1 as seen in the film The Great Waldo Pepper. I tried to get as close as possible to the aircraft shown. I don't believe the color is this bright. The film shows more of a goldish color. Thanks to Neoqb for a great model! Works and looks better than any pay model! Looks like the team is out of business. Their website can't be reached, and there is no paint kit available. Too bad! I think a progress report is in order. Last week I decided to release a beta version of my MAW 1943 stand alone install, as I will not have time to do much more work on it. So I started to try to upload files on Friday, here at SOH. The install is broken into a number of zip files of 200-300MB in size. Because of slow upload speeds, it takes about 2 hours to upload a file, only to get a message "invalid email address" together with being logged out of the website. After 5 attempts and 10 fruitless hours over 5 days in free moments, I am wondering what my alternatives are. :banghead: I don't have time for anything fiddly or requiring more uploads of software. Incidently, I uploaded a small zip containing Readme files, absolutely no problems, and received an email advising of...

Making good progress on the first model. With proper FSX material settings and bump and spec place holders in place, we actually have a decent looking FS9 texture. I am pleasantly surprised. I have all the interior and exterior materials converted now, animations, mouse tags, etc. done and working. Still lots to do of course, and the add-ons for pilot figures, bombs, rockets, guns, glass configurations, etc. to do. I think I can have this model and its variants done by the weekend. Just going to post a screen shot here but will close this thread and start a proper FSX Native Harpoon thread.

He doesn't seem to be shouting to me, he just highlighted the Alphasim Phantoms is all :) I'm not sure all 3 of those sets are available any more. At least I haven't seen them around.

Although not the news I had hoped for today that was getting hyped on the DCS forums, speculative mind you, great news nonetheless. This is one model that excites me like no other and the amount of detail being put into it is astounding.

Interesting read indeed. Thank you Milton for the few aircraft I have had the pleasure to fly but mostly, thank you for the support you give a very niche community, both in words and deeds depicted in your various threads and releases. Also, here's the link to the thread for those that have not read it yet.

After checking out "Flyfreestd", their Mig-29 comes closest to Bear Studios. Not the in depth systems work Bill did for Bear Studios but fun to spend some time with. The "Flyfreestd" PAK-FA is definitely "light" but their primary MFD are nice to look at with a number of variations and on the fly weapon load outs. Thanks to all who replied and their good info.
