Grey Eagle - I think the panels have come up pretty damn good actually considering their age and original VC design. Here are 3 screens Captain, Captain looking back to FE and the FE panel pop up. Footnote: If your a Connie fan A2A have made available the V5 of the L049 for P3D. Unfortunately they want you to pay so there is no free upgrade from FSX or early P3D version and it is not cheap. I did anyway just to get my Connie collection back and up in the new sim. I also think the new P3DV5.1.12 is great, no bugs, no issues, runs smooth as silk with all the scenery sliders at max for me and a predominantly ORBX world. On a personal note I actually have no issues with developers charging for upgrades, a small fee is fine by me but the A2A full price was a bit over the top.

Many moons ago I was a beta tester on the FS9 version. Just before release, FSX came upon us! I was a tester for Bill on KACK and I don't think that he made a version for FSX. There should be a version for P3Dv4

Hi DR You are right about being able to compile a 3.5 .fsc file using 2.4. I transferred all the work I had completed in 3.5 to 2.24 when I got it. I'm really happier with 2.24. Personally I don't see an advantage in 3.5. The only thing I like about 3.5 more than 2.24's capabilities is the unlimited re-do ability. I wasn't able to get the Boolean operation feature to work at all, it kept throwing errors at me, locking up the program and losing the current work. Cutting a part out isn't really that much more difficult from what I can see (of course I'm not making a modern jet with compound curve windows). In both cases, you still have to manually close up all the openings left by making one poly at a time, which is the most time consuming part. I haven't been able to figure out...

So I've been flying the new excellent BOB version and it's replaced my wonky ETO which I screwed up messing with the ERA swapper. Found an install of ETO on an external drive I have and brought onto my HD. I've never seen this before, it's like a band on the horizon that doesn't display graphics!

Hi, Native PBR version of the D373 with an important modification: the "OTC 31" radio station functional in 3D with certain limitations inherent to P3D is released. The 2D popup is perfectly operational. It is as usual on the "Royale French Navy" site. Some pictures

Although I had a quick look and noticed there was no interior in the bomb bay, I did not mention this. There were two reasons. How many virtual pilot will actually look in this bomb bay? And the other reason was that it is actually quite authentic. As there were severe problems with them and I understood that not all had been delivered and/or installed in May 1940.... :biggrin-new: But as usual, the racks look pretty good. :encouragement: Cheers, Huub

Hi Folks, Another interesting ac from Chris Lampard. A Czech Avia B-534.IV biplane fighter/fighter bomber, used by the Czechs and Bulgarians in small numbers during WWII. Chris did his usual excellent job, with added LOD's, VC gauges, animated pilot, two versions of bombs/no bombs fitted. Just tweaking a few things and then will be uploaded. Cheers Shessi

I never could figure out a way to have left and right suspension animations work correctly when they are connected by a common axle. Only feasible way I found was using just left or just right, visual anomalies thrown to the wayside.

CK. If I remember correctly, you can use FSDS3 to build your model, which has slightly more features (bolean operations, etc) then save, open with FSDS2.x and export to CFS2. As long as you don't use animations that are not supported by CFS2 or don't exceed the poly/vertex counts, you should be good to go. ATB, Jamie.

From the FlightBeam website- Why isn't KPDX available for FSX and/or P3Dv3? Prepar3D version 4 is a very different from either previous versions of P3D or FSX in one major respect - it's a 64-bit simulator. That means the sim can use all the RAM your system has rather than a small, set amount. The plus side of this is that out-of-memory (OOM) errors are a thing of the past. That gives us the room to add detail like we never could before without killing performance. By authoring for this new environment, however, we're using techniques that don't translate well to the older 32-bit sims. Creating a version of the scenery for older simulators therefore takes a lot more work, and this...
