Dimus, lua files in this case should not affect the SODE files, they are independently of each other. Because there are no red crosses, I assume all objects are installed correctly except for the animations.xml and seasons.xml files. I would do a search for their correct place...

Just a brief note on the PC versus X-Box-X version. It is highly likely that these two versions will diverge after launch, likely based on the target market. As a general rule, PC users are more populated by fans of higher-detail aircraft, while the console generation is likely to be more orientated towards "fun and entertainment". It's only my gut feeling, but in terms of revenue, the two would make more sense to continue on their own paths, which is likely when we'll see higher-detail flight models appear on the PC version as well as perhaps more features for such aircraft.

I read the manual carefully. I already had SODE and registered for P3D v4. I copied all files as per the instructions. Anyway, I'll check again as it may be the fact that I have a scripts folder outside P3D main folder. I really like to install stuff outside P3D but in this case it may not be possible due to the scripts. Anyway I'll try again.

After a series of helpful replies from the ORBX forums I think the root cause of the problem was corrupted terrain cfg. file(s). After several failures to load accompanied by "P3D requires a terrain (or scenery) cfg. file to run" I started rooting round in a number of files in the OS libraries. FWIW there were no scenery cfg. files for P3Dv5, P3Dv4 or even P3Dv3 in their respective directories, but there was a 'backup cfg" present. I transferred the apparent correct files from where they were lurking in my user directory and the result was chaos! Valuable lesson learned. In the end I went for the Nuclear Option, reloaded W10 and a clean P3Dv5 installation, making certain there were no prior files lurking in hidden places. So far so good, all the Americas ORBX files (580GB!!!) are...

I've tried it too and it found no errors, or rather it doesn't recognise the textures in CFS3. When I ran it with my FSX install it came back with a long list of mainly .bmp's.

Sorry to take so long to get back to you on this, feeling a little under the weather but made the test install of the contact points. I got a levitating B-17 (a first, esp. w/a full bomb-gas-ammo load - wonder if Boeing knows about this?) which is nothing but I did note the turning radius is still massive. I thank you for your contact points but think I'm going to have to join the legion of those who may be a little disappointed in this otherwise very good aircraft's performance, at least as far as ground handling is concerned. I suppose if one had a joystick or other controller with four throttles (not mine) and a twisting stick w/differential braking available (as I DO have) you might get it to behave as the original but that's going beyond the pale for me. This is supposed to be...

As far as I know I have everything installed correctly in the Tornado but still can't get the any load outs to show on the airplane and I have received no response from my emails to SSW. I've had some help from another member somewhat more familiar with this package but he has not been able to solve this problem either. The airplane flies well enough for me in P3Dv5 and VR but I would really like to have load options.

Thank you all very much for these nice words. That's the wages for every freeware developer, the reward. @Dimus: Yes, I can see in your screenshots, half of the scenery is still missing! No hangar doors, no trees, no blastwalls and for sure no animations. Have a look inside the manual, please. The description inside will show you step by step how to install SODE and all my features for that correctly. If you need any more help afterwards, please give us a shout....

Oh, dear. vACMI is SSW's version of TacPack. You need it installed if you want weapons loaded/displayed on your aircraft. There's more information here. Don't bother trying to connect to the vACMI server. I've never managed a connection yet. Dave

I too had hoped that this would be the long sought after cause of the micro-stutters, but alas it was not to be. You can run it in scan mode (versus repair), and when I did it didn't find any of the offending files in my ETO install.

Hello Ivan, Thank you very much for your comments on SCASM. In my case, once SCASM assembles the model correctly, I always use the FSDS short format 133K option (I´ve never tried the Aircraft Animator 133K option, or the FSDS long format 1029K one), and then I select update the .mdl file. Furthermore, after the first .SCX saving, at the beginning of some SCASMing task, I always use the "use existing file" option as I progress through the whole process.

Hello Ivan, Of course there is no hurry for anything, be it Curtiss H-16, Tigercat or Havoc issues, until you get your development machine back into working order. The main problem with my CFS1 creations is the lack of a building team, and my "strong point" is really only building the model itself. Textures, FD and Dp files are a bit more complicated for me, although in some cases, they come out very well, but not always. In the case of my FS98 planes, I do the building work, another in the team "The Last Mohicans"
