That is a great and fitting goodbye from you to FSX Bjoern. I always enjoy your analysis and critique on here and FS Developer, which is both witty and wise, and I also appreciate the great work you have contributed over the years. I have personally used several of your mods (ERJ and Metroliner) which are great and really in depth. I like your analysis of the benefits of FSX, and I agree wholeheartedly, and it has been so much more than pure entertainment for myself too. Since first installing FSX back in 2009 I have learned so much about PCs, development, aviation, geography, and I'm sure the list goes on. I really get a giggle every time I read your tag line too :biggrin-new:. All the best Sir, I'm sure we will see you around the traps. :applouse: :loyal:

Still pushing pixels around on this one , but close enough for a preview I think... K3460 was one of a batch of Tutors' delivered to RAF between 1933-35. The only reference found is that is was struck off charge to Lundy & Atlantic Coast Airways at Barnstaple (RAF Chivenor) ; on 4th May 1944 having previously served on the Station Flight at RAF Thornaby, N Yorkshire. Thornaby was a Coastal Command station, so I've painted it per the DTD360 23 Feb 1943 document appendix 5 ; "Aircraft for Coastal Duties except PR, Met, ASR and Special Duties. Upper surfaces Extra dark Sea Grey, Undersurfaces Glossy White (to pattern 1)" however , being non-operational I have given it the required Yellow undersides.

But it would still be competition to the new product so MS lawyers may feel the P3D EULA should be more rigorously enforced.

I've been doing some reading on an interview PC Gamer had with Xbox's Phil Spencer and I'm not completely worried that it'll be subscription only at this point.

Like everything else in CFS3 they made decisions in the coding to limit the impact they would have on computer systems envisioned for 2002 and a few years after. From the behaviours I've observed while trying to push things farther out with compositescenerybudgets.xml, you usually reach a point where the underlying code can't properly manage the scope of the memory required, and it either slows to a crawl, hitches badly, or crashes. This happens in cases where hardware monitoring shows that a modern high end system is not even close to reaching it's processing and memory limits. For years I've chased after eliminating a repeating stutter with hardware improvements. I eventually attributed the issue to the code needing to flush a fixed memory buffer on a regular basis, and no amount of...

Bjoern, First, let me thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you have done to improve and further the FSX community. Second, I am glad that not only did you help us, but in doing so, you were able to use your experiences in FSX development to further your career. Third, it was a pleasure to watch you evolve from a mindset of turbine engines only to embracing aircraft with engines that suck, squeeze, bang, and blow. Fourth, guess you won't be doing that Beech G or H18 that I tried to convince you to do, at least not for FSX.

Nice shots -whats the 'Avroliner ' like? -I have read some mixed reports about it. Is the Vulcan the freeware one? Hate the default xp-11 grass runways -they look bloody awful -thought the standard FSX grass runways where bad.

I was hoping to upload this Australian Porter this weekend, but I am having problems locating one part: that little gizmo on the nose, does anybody know where to find it in the texture files??? and where is the landing gear? Meanwhile, I started on a few more, but every little nut and bolt is modeled separately, so I am slowly going nuts...
