Interesting! It seems that "LLC" whoever that is did the original conversion to native FSX which was expressly forbidden by Ito San and known by anyone who enjoyed his masterpieces over the years. It appears that since he was unable to contact Kazunori to get permission he opted to go with a more liberal interpretation of the MS Shareware EULA. Danny Garnier then packaged it later with a few other additions. . .both versions containing the reworked VC textures I did. . .no credit given in either version. I have always been on the fence with Mr Ito's request not to tamper with his models beyond the way they were originally released. I feel that his work should continue to be enjoyed by new simmers and advanced in such a way as to preserve his original while utilizing newer technologies...

Hi Mike:encouragement: I did not react at your Libellula II heli, simply because I did not recognize her. AFAIK Count Ettor3e Menzolini built at least the Libellula (sometime referred to as Libellula 1), the Libellula II and the Libellula III and maybe he was also involved (financial backing?) in the MGB-2 (MGB for Manzolini, Giannini and Brondetti). To keep things simple, I have alsom sen the MGB-2 descrfibed as the Libellula 1 (?). I was always under the impression that the Libellula II (I-MANN) is surviving in the Caproni museum in Italy and as can be seen in attached photo, she has a much different configuration than the Libellula II posted by you. Did I take the wrong turn somewhere in the 1950s ?

Hi Mav, Thanks for the explanation! I've heard of "scasm" going back to Mauro's Hurricanes, but never understood what it was all about. Would that be like what Team Daedalus is doing with Akemi's Bf109s and Fw190s? De-compiling the models, making changes, then recompiling the finished product? And this can be done with pretty much any plane, ship, or infrastructure? Kind regards, TW

FYI: The offering of the native conversion by Danny Garnier over at Simviation works well in P3Dv4.5 and presumably 4.4.

I love that film and I still must smile every time I think of one of my favourite scenes where Sir Percy and his Avro ended up on a train in a tunnel. "Arretez le train!"... :redfire: Keeping the theme of unorthodox vintage aircraft.

Replace your texture folders for 'E' and deckstuff. Much more painting to be done, but the deck looks better. Needs more dirt, though.

https://simviation.com/1/download-file?file=NAA_FJ-1_Fury_X-1.zip&fileId=51720 Native Ito-San FJ-1. Might be in the library here, too. P3D mods on same page. Misanthropes don't let humans port over.

Spot on, Robert - although if I were a pedant (!), I might say that you're missing the word 'replica'. What became of the original after its - alleged - 450' flight across Wimbledon Common in 1912, before that flight was teminated by a tree, is not recorded. Anyhow, over to Germany - but not, please, the Eardley Billing Tractor Biplane, shared both by the Germans and Japanese in that film! And as for the eau de vie de prune. Oh no, I just had some Madeira m'dear!

NC, there is a video that added JDAMs to the Bone. As Daube described, there is the TMAP add-on that can be found on the VRS forums and will add basic TP weapons, but the user will need to change the config files. Bombers are slightly easier as you don't need to model the bombs in the bomb bay visually. Typically fighters are more time consuming if one wants to have visual weapons drop from the wing pylons. I recently added the Bone into P3D and when this was released could not understand why Virtavia didn't just integrate Tacpack like Dino does on his models. Adding any form of targeting pod/FLIR requires a bit more work with GMax/MCX. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ylb76d_pXo

Still one of my favourite films :very_drunk: That should be the Passat Ornithopter "flown" by Count Emilio Ponticelli in "Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines"
