Thanks for the heads up. Yet another interesting beasty to look forward to. FWIW the old Qantas HS125 is parked out in the open at an old bush strip south of Camden in NSW (The Oaks) slowly rotting away. Qantas bought them to introduce the Connie drivers to fast jets as they upgraded to the B707. The only other user I know of in OZ was the former Department of Civil Aviation until the finance bureaucrats took their toys away told them to hire similar aircraft if they needed them. Cant post the pictures (copyright protected) but here is a link to Aussie Airliners ( http://www.aussieairliners.org/hs-125/vh-ece/vhece.html_ with some great shots including maintenance and engineering when it was owned by the big red rat if your interested. The guy who bought it also has the former Civil...

I had a look at Klaus' FDR and the sketchfab original (which has since been removed for download) but as they were derived from World Of Warships they are INSANELY detailed and complex for FSX. It took me hours just to adapt the gun emplacements and create a hurricane bow at which point I gave up.....and interestingly I did wonder if it would be quicker taking one of my Essex Hulls and just enlarging and adapting that to create an FDR so you might be on to something! Cheers Gary

Type 42 - the ARA Santísima Trinidad D-2 Yes - she was pretty much the same layout as Sheffield....I think i'm right in saying Hercules had Exocet launchers on the boat deck(?) but Trinidad was pretty much the same layout as Sheffield. I'll see what I can do but shouldn't be difficult....it's probably something Henrik needs as part of his overall package. Gary

Hay Deke, There's an empty deck configuration so you should be able to add your training wing (with some adjustments). I'm doing a CVT-16 1980's version so once your statics are available I could look to align the deck layout for that. Cheers Gary

I've posted on the CVT-16 thread about the textures. Now - i've had a few PMs asking about Essex and when it'll be done and rather reply to each just thought i'd do a generic thread post (you Crusader drivers are impatient) :untroubled: I've had somebody testing what i've done so far (he knows who he is) and there are still issues to resolve: -Transparency anomalies -Wake effects (which I think i've nailed i'm thanking Henrik for that) -Catapult steam effects -Launch and Recovery configurations

These will be a great addition to the collection, and with the new effects possible with AnKor's shaders they should look fantastic.

I am not aware of a PVASI in FSX, I think such a thing would require custom coding.

Guys, Lexington1709 have had a couple of PMs back and forwards and i've had an idea that might be mutually beneficial to both of us. He needs a set of Lex textures for a project and i'm slowly working my way through the pennant numbers but textures aren't my favourite task in modelling and i'm busy at work now.....so it will be weeks before I get round to doing a CVA-16 (the anomalies in the model being my priority) - so i'm putting a shout out to some of the excellent texture artists out there....anyone interested in redoing the island and deck for CVA-16 if I provide the textures? Drop me a PM if you are - i'll then add them to the model config and convert them to the source format for Lex for his model. There's a couple of forum threads running on the Essex topic so i'm...

Hairyspin, Where do I get this "Gmax via the BFF script for animating and export to CFS3" from as I would much rather use 3ds Max for the build then just use Gmax to animate etc then export to CFS3. Dave

Oliver, it isn't that hard. Takes patience.... lots and lots and looooooots of patience mate. I started out being asked to build a C-Type hanger that had doors open and could be taxied through, so that was my very first model in CFS3. It got used a lot if I remember rightly. I had an image of me flying a Lancaster through it, lol. Make something simple, even if it already exists in CFS3 and learn to export etc. You'll soon pick it up, if I could do it then anyone can mate. Dave
