Yes, since I installed the Tomcat, DCS is super super slow to load, and stutters terribly, to the point of being unplayable, is there a fix, or update coming ??, tried everything but so far nothing helps.

Thanks for finding this and posting a link. Considering the age of the model, it looks pretty good! The flight dynamics need work (which I am clueless how to adjust), and the sound needs to be aliased to a different model, but I can do that easy enough! NC

There is an Alphasim FSX Native Douglas A3D Skywarrior on, that should work in P3Dv4. But i've not tested it myself.

Actually, I had a bit of difficulty with the gauges myself at first. As stated above; make sure you use either the 32 bit or the 64 bit. By chance; are you *assuming that all the ai carriers will show* in the menu? They will not. Go to You will find some ai carriers. I also have questioned where all the carriers listed in the menu are found. No idea where they came from. This is my choice in the panel.cfg: gauge00=RFN_CarrierGauge64!Close_Subpanel, 0, 2, 18, 18, c11501 //--------- RFN TACAN NG ------- gauge01=RFN_CarrierGauge64!Aircraft_Carrier_Indicator_NG, 3, 0, 300, 310 <---New gauge //gauge02=RFN_CarrierGauge64!Radio_Tacan_Panel, 0, 311, 300, 110 <---use // to block old gauge //--------- RFN TACAN Classic -------...

Thanks Roxane for all the info. I have the AlphaSim P-51D but not the other. Will wait till the reworked model comes out and give it a try. Enjoy the ones i have for CFS3 and IL-2 '46 and one for CFS2 is a must have. Alpha Sim's P-51D runs great on my pc but the more the merrier ! Sticking to only the PTO for CFS2 as the AI is so lacking but still fun to play. Will stick to the ETO with CFS3 and IL-2. Regards,Scott

You could try deleting the Shaders folder, and let P3Dv4 rebuild it when you start the sim, to see if that gets something to show. That's occasionally worked for me when I've ported over some FSX planes that were invisible on first loading. However, if this is the Virtavia A-3B Skywarrior for FSX/FS2004, there is a note at the bottom of the product page at PC Aviator: Note : FSX version is a straight portover of the FS9 version, so NO self-shadowing, bump etc

I see you have had good advice on another thread, about fixing crash issues without having to reinstall. Plenty of advice on that subject in the Knowledgebase Sticky, That Combat flight simulator 3 folder under the AppData pathway contains all sorts of goodies. The Viewui.xml has it's own downloadable guide located with the other MS SDKs here at SOH in the downloads section. Using the Guide, you can edit the size of the gauges, the colour of the text and other things that make up your view on the screen. Under the Missions sub-folder the _mission.xml file contains the computer-generated mission for all the parameters from the last QC, campaign or scripted mission flight. The _mission.xml sometimes has clues about problem-solving if you are having crashes in a campaign mission, for...

Yes, its funny that, I would have thought an important feature for northern hemisphere scenery. The closest in the stock scenery are 'snag01' and 'snag02', but these look more like dead trees than deciduous trees in winter.

It is the Fieseler F 5R HB-ELF which found its way to Switzerland at the end of the war and received a canopy later on! :encouragement: Over to you, Walter :icon29:

Steven, it depends on which theatre of war you are looking at. Do you have one install or several?
