I see his points, I think the sound issue could have a good bit to do with the Wwise and editing within that. The sounds in FS2020 to me (as I have stated before) seem like a major step backwards. As far as the Prop Beta Sounds, they are actually partly right but as so many FS versions before, a proper turboprop simulation has eluded us due to sim limitations and there have always been issues with sounds. In this and other Beta/Reverse issues, you hear part of the prop sounds decreasing (normal Beta droning plus vibration sounds) while you also hear the spooling up sounds which is part of the sim limitations in getting a physical reverse thrust effect. I think they could set the sounds to better reflect the Beta sounds while keeping the deceleration effect. The rest are fairly minor...

This is a balanced review that I found helpful. I like Aerosoft - I think they have a good sense of the market and how to approach it, and I've enjoyed their products for years. But it seems that this one could have used a little more time in the oven. I think it'll get there but I'm not sure it's there yet.

Update: In a move of utter desperation, I purchased the Asobo P-51 pack, then set the AH P-51 sound to "Sound="\..\..\Asobo_P51D_Reno_Common\sound\", as keithb77 originally posted. This worked, which makes no sense to my basic dark ages Windows/DOS directory structure knowledge, such as it is. That relative path does not lead to the Asobo P-51 sound folder. Obviously more learning about how this sim works is order. P.S. -- The Asobo P-51s are pretty good. But this AH P-51 is fantastic. Thanks AH!

Iíve ridden on them multiple times in the 80s/90s - was a mix of either extinguisher shape stencil only or stencil with explanatory lettering, either would be accurate. If you choose the latter, my recollection was as follows FIRE EXT EXTINCTEUR Dí INCENDIE Edit: Echoed here:

French abbreviation for "FIRE EXT" (fire extinguisher), eh? Just a guess, since most markings on Canadian aircraft are bilingual...

After quite a few searches and looking over many of their Rescue Helicopters, I found no others that had that (whatever it is) on the door. It was either just the fire extinguisher decal or the decal and a set of numbers. That particular one seems to be the only one with "that" on the door. If you do make contact with the Public Affairs Officer I would reference that particular chopper by tail number.

To be perfectly honest, with some exceptions, I have begun to ignore many of these web ratings on any given product as personal opinions are often the proverbial "weathervane in a tornado" of how good or bad a given product may be. Case and point, I saw yesterday where the PMDG DC-6 had a pretty low rating at the FS2020 store which is beyond ridiculous and outright inaccurate, that model is well done & thought out, highly functional in every regard. In the case of the Twin Otter, there may be indeed a few legit quibbles on minor issues but overall it is a fantastic model. I take note that with the new increase of Gamer type users in the mix of this hobby, we're going to see a lot of uninformed gripes who just don't know or understand the ropes of simulation use/coding. Most miss how...

Sounds like we might still get this beauty to work in FS2020 !?!?. Even with clickspot limitations, I'll take it. I hope Daan will give his approval.

I have yet to pull the trigger... the feedback has not been particularly positive on the interwebs. To offset that, Alex Metzger did the FDE so I know it will fly beautifully. This was a release I was SO LOOKING FORWARD TO in MSFS- the perfect platform for this lovely Sim.... perhaps after an update or two.... C

Messing with very old B&W shots from way back! Taken in early 1975 during the Tasman Cup round at Sandown Park with my first serious camera, a Leica (must find the details as I'm having a CRAFT moment!). My kind of open wheel race car, Lola T330-Chev F5000 driven by Mal Ramsey from the Adelaide based City State team.

I have to be missing something simple, but the light bulb hasn't gone off yet. Here are the direct paths to the P-51 and Spitfire in my Community folder: D:\FS2020\Community\ac_ah-p51d\SimObjects\Airplanes\ah-p51d\sound\ D:\FS2020\Community\ac_flyingiron-spitfire\SimObjects\Airplanes\flyingiron_spitfire\sound\ In order for the P-51's aircraft.cfg to "find its way" to the Spitfire's sound folder, I have to "go up" four directories, then "down" to the Spitfire's sound folder. I tried using only two (\..\..\) without luck.
