Yes, that was it. I was clicking on the wrong click spot (the pedal adjust) thinking it was the lock. Thanks!

.....while sitting here in isolation I was poking around in my fleets library and reorganizing for the zillionith time. Doing the ships by type, country , etc. To ensure a ship was classified right, I checked the internet and found this site. Choose the type of ship and it will list all of that type used in WW2, or choose the first letter of the name and it will also show all the ships names starting with that letter. Gives country, type, class , etc. Some may already know of this but I didn't. I just took the battleship section but once there move around the classes. FYI... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_battleships_of_World_War_II

It looks like some other program, installation, update, etc has overwritten the "Buildings.bgl" file that is a default FSX file as I mentioned above. . .it would also have been default in P3D. Now I have installed P3D_V4.5, Orbx Basic, Vector Landclass and a number of other Orbx regions yet I don't have the problem you display and as we've seen your buildings.bgl file has a different date and size. I can send you my version and you can try that. . .but because there's no way to tell what changed to cause yours to lose that object, there's also no way to tell what replacing your version will do to some other scenery down the road. Bottom line here is that given that we both have the same basic scenery and Sims there's no reason you should be having this problem. I will post a zip with...

I really wish John would bring one or 2 of his variants over to DCS world... ;). I miss the correct Cockpits and external differences! Would love a P-51K! Or any with a Dallas canopy!

Hi, The file I seem to be missing is called 'gen_yardtower 9d4d839e-0f93-4dc0-baa0-7c55d11a3264' , (as per Dave's post #54 above), and is found inside the FSX default library 'buildings.bgl'. Somehow, I can't find it. If the file is not part of the downloaded scenery package, and is called on to show in sim, then FSX will look for it in the default library. I think I could potentially download and install this file manually inside the KCRS folder, but where to find it ? Sadly, I think, for me, it's time to accept what happened, and move on to other things.

You have to remove the control lock right behind the stick. There's a click spot near the bottom.

A big thanks to Manford for helping me get Gina installed and airborne! I'll add, if anyone is interested in the PBR textures, the installer available from SSW can be applied to this version. If you do so, note that quite a number of Gina's files are overwritten, including the aircraft.cfg. Also, you will have to re-run the keyless installer to reactivate Gina. Now, a question. Despite following the kneeboard checklist correctly (I think), I seem to be missing something. I can start the aircraft, but don't appear to have control over the control surfaces... no hydraulic pressure maybe? If I get airborne in this state, I crash pretty quickly. Control E works fine, but that's not normally my style. Anyone kmow whst I'm missing?

At the request of Baz, I am closing this thread. The intent was to let everyone know the C-47 / DC-3 is available for Prepar3D. For further information consult the thread in the P3D forum. Good job Baz. Great looking aircraft.

Yep, sometimes they just don't work. I've seemed to have trouble when the props are created with multiple parts and the animation is defined in different levels of the "tree" that make up the prop. It's gotten to the point where I know which ones are going to work and which ones won't before I even test them. I'm right there with you :banghead: LouP
