Hi all, been working on updating the paintkit on dave's fantastic hunters. coming along nicely until now,I need heavy intel on UK stenciling, lets say stuff that are not already on the net as i scavenged it sideways the past days already. I'm seeking mainly top and bottom stenciling, maybe some of you guys have valuable stuff that could help. In the meantime here's some of the result. heavy work on the surfaces detailing, plus shadowing. mainly on mk 58/68 for now but it'll do for britsh hunters too.

Just in case anyone's interested, a few screenshots of the exterior model of the B-24 as it is today. This is still heavily a Work In Progress, with a lot left to do. No bump maps, for example, and as the VC model hasn't been started yet the cockpit is empty except for the crew. Panel lines and rivets are in basic black, as they're there just for positioning, and the overall grey colour scheme is just for use as texturing goes on. But it's looking like a B-24, so felt brave enough to post some pics. The model is a real challenge, as the B-24 isn't ideal for conserving the number of polygons needed, to put it mildly, and even with maximum optimization the model is very, very close to the limits. The last available are being saved for the exterior cockpit and if possible for bomb bay...

As soon as Rami is able to get to it, it will be available for download. Thanks again to Tibor Kokai for his kind permission to move forward with the Native FSX Conversion and Bluebear for his excellent work in putting the 4 variants through the complex task of converting each one. Hope everyone enjoys the results.

Sometimes you have to go full Nelson, Admiral Nelson that is. Several years ago I downloaded this freebie 3ds model from the net. It was way too poly heavy for FS9 but I hung onto it thinking maybe one day we can get it in FSX. Unfortunately, the 84 textures it used are .jpegs and are random sizes (not FS friendly). So, I invested two days resizing textures to FS standards and getting them working with the model in a format that is workable. Well, just got over that major hump at least with these old basic textures. I have the model resized to actual specs (length wise) and it is starting to look decent in the sim.

Hi Folks, Just uploaded the FSX compatible version of the 109B1 I did for Fs9/CFS2. AF Scrub kindly offered to do the 'leg work', and convert it to thanks to him for that. No, before anyone asks it's not a native model lol. Looks good in FSX and handles beautifully. With working slats, animated pilots head, cooler duct etc. With four tex, and Huub is doing some nice paints for the Fs9 model, which will of course work well in FSX. The model will be ok in P3D, but I'm not sure if the texs work correctly. Cheers Shessi

Greetings fellow pilots, FSCAI* Third Edition is now released for FSX and Prepar3D. Download links are in this post: This edition brings single-player air-to-air combat to FSX and Prepar3D. Now you can use your favorite combat aircraft in the role they were designed for: combat against enemy aircraft as well as ground targets - aircraft and ground targets that will shoot back. Many, many other new features are also included. One feature of interest is that you can use the same weapons the AI uses to fight against them. This is possible without having to do any configuration of your airplane. If it's not already "weaponized" you might need to add it to the FSCAI vehicle database but this can...

Let me throw a bit of a curveball here. With all the great early war aircraft around the later years deserve some attention too and there's one model that has been neglected for nearly the entire history of CFS3, the stock P-51B. Undoubtedly one of the most important aircraft of the entire war and a reasonably good looking MS model so I decided to finally put on the map properly. I have to admit that it turned out to be a bit of an ace collection but that's what everyone secretly wants anyway... 18 aircraft in total - P-51B and P-51C models, both with V-1650-3 and V-1650-7 engines, running on 100 or 150 grade fuel depending on the aircraft in question.

I've been off the air for about two weeks or so due to RW matters, getting my son w/cancer down here for care for his condition. Just prior to taking care of that move my machine quit after being shut down overnight, losing the screen saver and then the desktop display froze on the monitor after I attempted to move the mouse. The basic machine is about 14 years of age, various things have been replaced as needed. The shop was unable to reproduce the problem that locked the machine up. I'm wondering if this thing is on its last legs. That being said, the shop has a machine that is available, built by them, specs are as follows: Gigabyte GA-B450 M.2 motherboard AMD 7th Gen 9600 Quad-Core Processor Viper DDR4 8GB memory (I would upgrade to 12 GB, personal preference - that's what...

Hi Folks, A taster of the next ac, another gem built by Chris Lampard, a VL Myrsky II. This is a rare Finnish built ac of WWII to late 40's era. Chris and I have been trying to get details on this, emailing various Finns, but no reply...don't you like us Finland?! lol. Chris has done his usual superb job on the model and tex, I'm just doing the panels etc, so not long now. Cheers Shessi

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - British Description: Bristol Beaufort Mk1 BoF Repaint by UncleTgt This is a repaint for the Bristol Beaufort Mk1 made by Merlin2 for CFS 2, made specifically for Rami's Battle of France package. Separate dp files have been created to depict the early war payloads more authentically, one for the -b bomber version (bomb bay doors), & a separate one for the -t torpedo model (no bomb bay doors). The texture offered is: L4450 OA - F of 22 squadron RAF, circa May 1940. This aircraft lost 25/26th May 1940 25-26/05/1940: Gardening (mine laying)

FYI - just found these interesting aircraft on Avsim. :) Category: Flight Simulator X - Original Aircraft File Description: Adam A500 twin inline engine and Adam A700 turbofan jet. These models are highly detailed. The models were developed with the FSX Sp2 SDK. The models will also work well in FSX Steam and Prepar3d.
