I once figured out where that location is and tracked it down on Google Maps. Thanks for the reminder, I'll add it to my aviation museums/shops POI database - but not the one I release publicly, out of discretion. August

For the P-38 I had to search the mdl with a hex editor as the model was broken when l loaded it into Model Converter X but I did fine flat 3d plane for placing gauges on. Open the panel.cfg and go to the section and change texture=$P38F to texture=$VCDISP. Add file=VCPan.bmp as well. Now go to the texture folder and copy the VCPan.bmp and paste it into the panel folder. Grab and run CfgEdit http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=49&linkid=6212 Set it up so it can see CFS2 gauges if you have never installed it. Once done open the BR2_P38L-5 panel.cfg. than go to Window Vcockpit01. This should look like large stock CFS2 P-38 gauges and behind them should be the image of VCPan.bmp. At this point delete the stock CFS2 P-38 gauges and start adding new ones....

You wouldn't know it, looking at it in the sim, but this triangle-shaped private property, located quite literally in the middle of nowhere, which I was lucky enough to visit several years ago, is a desert storage yard containing up to seven disassembled B-25's (including the world's only remaining B-25B and a B-25C), two disassembled B-29's, an A-20 Havoc, about a dozen CAC-built Sabre jets, a couple Lockheed Lodestars, and thousands of B-25 parts.

Yes, I haven't missed them, he is quite good. Sometimes a little too kind to mediocre products IMO, but at least he shows you how everything works so you can decide for yourself. August

France is a good place to start but it's not the FM.60 Robert. This one had retractable gear. From 1946.

Hi Daveroo - thanks for subscribing to the channel. I have two methods for posting videos, one for the builds and another for the flight sims I use a GoPro camera to record the builds, then transfer those recordings to my laptop where they can then be uploaded to YT. The camera has a built-in microphone so I feel compelled to try and provide something more than the clatter of tools and my heavy breathing - so these are narrated.. The PC recordings are made with Nvidia’s Experience overlay. This is why there is no narration from me - just the video and audio captured ‘in-game’….and those recordings can be then uploaded to YT directly. I hope that this is helpful.

On a side note, Corperate Jets sometimes get funny and strange names.... Like Hines' Ketchup 1. When I worked the ramp at KBTV (Burlington VT) we shared the ramp with US Customs and a few planes came in with registrations and monikers that were a bit funny. John Deer (tractors) has a fleet of Citation X jets with all tail numbers ending in JD and painted white with JD yellow and green stripes Nike USA (shoes/sportswear) has a Gulfstream V with the tail number of N1KE. One of the Outback Steakhouse chain's Falcon 50's came across my ramp on day for an oxygen top off and had the name "Bloomin Onion III" on the nose. Company VP was on board with the family (Ski trip I think) and gave us a huge stack of blooming onion gift cards and the mechanic a $100 gift card.

I just went there to see what I might see. What I saw was a white page with this note: "Please bear with us, due to a PHP upgrade, FS-Shipyard's portal requires a replacement Redirecting you to FS-Shipyard's Forum in five seconds, or click here." When I clicked there I got to the FS Shipyards forum. The index is there but shown the latest post with a date in February 2018. I don't know if it's still possible to post new messages but the old ones are still accessible. It seems that only the forum remains, and there are no notes about the downloads. It looks like they may be gone.

one issue i'm seeing is that at night, some light source (flashlight?) causes the ejector seat texture to blink. very good looking model, wish list 1) collimated reticle or period incorrect HUD to make it useful (recycle asobo's Fa18e HUD), not used for weapons 2) radar data for north america 3) pilot figures: allow use of asobo's fa18e figures one thing i also noticed in VR is that the pilot figures are not quite sized correctly wrt cockpit (or world scale is a bit off?).

I remember pretty much what you did; I just have to fiddle about and re-learn the details. I do remember that it wasn't difficult once I knew what was needed. Cutting and pasting and re-arranging, if I recall, not any actual re-painting. Well, not unless I come upon something that I've learned to do better in the intervening time. I also have to figure out which of the numerous skins I have that I painted and which ones I got from others. I have very little hobby time these days but I will get to it before too long. Cheers, Mick

The latest issue seems to be that it just takes a couple of minutes to load in. The starting with clear bit was for repeat flights. The issue was (several updates back) that you'd finish one fight on live weather, then set up another one, but all you'd get is clear skies. For that, Asobo said to start your first flight in clear weather, then select live once you've clicked Fly Now. Personally, I haven't seen this issue. It may be related to which regional server you're on.
