BuV, You're quite welcome. And actually, because we kept all of the historical notes, (They're in pack Ic) we're already discussing preliminaries, including some scenery improvements / enhancements. Later today, I was going to begin going through the mission days from 26 May until 22 June and cobble together a list of missions by day to get an idea of what Part II will actually look like. One of the big decisions will include whether to include the Italian-French missions as part of the Part II package, or as a separate entity. I'm inclined to make it the latter, since it really is part of the Mediterranean.

Seeing Motormouse got them all right while I've been fighting with W10 I hope you track them down! All pretty old, but still nice to have in GW3. You'll need to search for reasonable sound files, as most of these are aliased to default FS2004 sounds and are not great. :encouragement:

I have added several 'objects' into mine, without using a groundplane. Any time a groundplane is used, it blocks off anything that it covers, existing in the scenery there. Buildings, trees, etc., and also flattens that area. Just adding in objects, such as the Berlin flakturms, and the control, I did in mine, simply placed it on the existing area. Works fine. Something like searchlights, and flak batteries, working up a flak field, could be laid out in the right location, using the existing terrain/scenery. At least it could be tried. That's exactly what I was going to do, on any flak fields I made.

Rami and team What a fantastic example of what this creaking old sim is still capable of after all these years, thanks to the effort and imagination of some great developers and mission builders. I think it will take longer to work through it than it did for you to put it all together - what a lovely prospect . . . Hats off to you all once again. So when did you say the next part's coming out? :costumed-smiley-034:costumed-smiley-034

I'm fighting a losing battle, with my old PC. Too many things don't work, system wise. Still no sound, and it refuses to accept the needed driver, even though I have several. Once even tried the driver install, after a re-boot...and got a blue screen. Tried getting wired up to get the internet working, re-booted, and got another blue screen. Lost cause. Yeah, I still have all my files. But, I'll have to decide what I want to do, going from here. That virus really fixed me up! I'll look at PCs, and go from there...

Think Uli's on the right track here - found this shot of a Standard J-1 with 'anti-noseover gear'. Obviously many similarities with the mystery.......except the wings !

I found something alike called “Chamberlin-Standard model H5 commercial biplane” as well as a similar gear on an earlier Standard Model J. Would it be too speculative to assume a non-standard Standard Aero Corporation model or variant?

Ed, just wanted to thank you and Bill for a job well done. I've enjoyed manipulating the panels to the configuration that I prefer. Thanks to you, it's worked out well. The plane flies very close to published figures, very smooth and stable. I downloaded a FJ-3 Fury to get the sound set. https://dfs2.flightsim.com/download.php?fn=north_american_fj-3fury.zip Your excellence never disappoints...thank you very much..... Terry
