    A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 3 Other Add-Ons - Effects Description: This package consists of: 1. A combined effects.xml which will work across different installs of CFS3. The effects.xml is arranged alphabetically. Majormagee has put an enormous amount of painstaking effort tracking down some elusive abnormalities in effects. Old/obsolete and unused effects are retained, but have an "x" or a "y" at the end of their name. 2. A set of textures (pathway your root cfs3install/effects/fxtextures) is provided to ensure that all effects will render/display.

    Gman5250 interesting information. Not sure where we are all going with this anymore but you are correct cyberspace has lost its ethics (not sure if it had any) and certainly has no moral compass of common decency (no lying, stealing or cheating is pretty basic). Mix it in with do whatever it takes corporate culture, delusional politics and simply, damaged people we seem to going down a dead end. I have followed your dilemmas with MS closely, especially W10, sobering and distasteful. Now we have the same nutcases believing that the best thing to do is control stuff and be actively engaged in hostile IT activity towards individuals and or institutions with whom they disagree.     So to summarise my thread above, there are three cockpit versions immediately available for the FS Emils, the latest fs_shared files will have Mike Wholaver's 2004 textures (I should have read the stuff before uploading :dizzy:)

    I've tweaked some of the Bob Emil's to reflect newer stuff. In 2004 Mike Wholaver updated cockpit textures for the Bf109 f4, and I think I may have added some of those textures to the shared files in the Bob install. I attach some of the notes from the v 2.95 of Fouteman's Emils:

    As soon as it is approved by the moderators, a new effects package is uploaded under CFS3 Other/Effects. Majormagee has sunk a lot of time into refining my initial ideas. He has achieved wonders. Included in the package are a combined effects.xml which will work across different CFS3 installs. Also included is a combined sounds.xml. A large file comprising the fxtextures folder is included to ensure that all the wonderful effects are rendered properly. A few sound .wav files are included in case some of the basic things like random flak sounds are missing from some of your installs.

    Dave, I've been banging my head incessantly over missing objects in your Phan Rang project install. I have the base up and running for the most part, but in hunting through all of your Vietnam project downloads, i can't find the following objects which give me missing object error messages whenever i operate from this base: messhallsandbags hootchsbsm hootchsand Where do i get these?

    It's fs9 bf109f4.... i converted it back to cfs2 scasm edited and added bits..... like new pilot and filter..... good to see it still works in fs9.... hopefully upload soon. Well huub.... she been distracting all that time..don't know what it is.. lol Cheerz mav

    Thanks for the files, I used AirEd and found out that elevator down limit was only 0.04 radian (translate roughly to 2.3 degree), I changed it to 0.4 and it worked fine. But since I'm new to cfs2, I would use your air and cfg, and please have Morton update his package, this is such a high quality model, it looks great and should fly great. Thanks again.

    Bob, A good place to start is Lindsay Watt's Mission Builder GSL Editor tutorial. Somewhere in the library but the exact page escapes me:banghead:. Glad to hear that retirement is within sight. Just checked....the tutorial is found om Maskrider's website and is in PDF format. Senior moments are becoming senior days! Cheers, Michael

    kchang, Looks like an oversight in the air file. The elevator angle down limit was set too low. I assisted Morton with the flight dynamics, sorry - mea culpa. The top speed is way too low as well, so i made some adjustments to afterburn thrust and parasite drag to get things more in line with 1385 mph, a little more than Mach 2.0. Now, i don't know how familiar you or others reading this might be with swapping air files. So, overwrite your current *.air file with the one in this zip. Then, extract the aircraft.cfg from the zip, copy the (title=blah blah blah) line from your current cfg to this one, then drop it into your Mig 21 folder and let it overwrite.
