Nobert, Before I start offering some suggestions, did you make sure to install the package on a dedicated "clean" install? If you include additional aircraft and ships, it can be problematic and cause some CTD errors.

I did manage to contact them, years ago. I think I managed to do so, off of their website, which is almost all in Japanese. Found a email address and tried it. Maybe look there? NC They do have a P-3 Fire Fighter version that I had forgotten about! (Oops, sorry, went back and read your post, Scorch! Oh well, this IS a cool screenshot anyway!)

Brought out old computer with intel i5 2600k clocked to 3.1, 8 gb Ram and 250 ssd, threw in a gt 1030 with a clean install of windows 10 all running smooth. I have CFS3,2 and MAW all running fine, very excited! However a couple things: 1) Tunisia ( I think Tunisia, a heavily fortified harbor city with ships and everything) with all the action my FPS hit 30 which is fine but is that expected? 2) In MAW controller mapping/config wont stick. The buttons show that they are assigned but dont respond in game. CFS2 maps like a champ, CFS3 has some similar difficulties but then worked I dont know why. Any input on a fix for mapping? Thanks for any input Greg

From what I see from latest info, the ship was undergoing a pierside availability maintenance / modernization period, typically referred to as an "SRA" or Ship Restricted Availability", i.e., the ship is officially not able to rapidly deploy and is sort of an accounting system DoD uses to keep track of what assets are readily available at any time. Any aircraft or ordnance is off-loaded before the start of work. My fellow squid and Marine bubbas here are likely familiar with this process. Unlike going into a shipyard and or dry dock for an extensive upkeep period, these pierside events are usually about three months, and a lot of the crew is often moved off to make room for all the "sand crab" heavy contract work is done by specialized groups of civil service and contracted workers. A...

Hi Ravenna, OK, no hurry. Lets see how it goes with the other AIs then. It seems the main stability issue causing the AI failures was the entry for Side Force - Side Slip Angle in Primary Aerodynamics (not Side Force due to Rudder - my mistake), that caused abrupt side-slipping and made the AIs crash into the ground at low altitudes. This entry appears to have been a maximum value, the intention behind which I presume was to make AI evasive manouevers much quicker. Anyway, I put in more conventioinal values there. Hopefully the AIs will be useful in missions now! Cheers,

I'm looking at another model conversion project to convert the Electra into an airtanker. Problem is, I haven't found any way of actually contacting anyone at FS KBT to see if I can get permission to modify it. I've had a few people also tell me it's hard to get in contact with them anyway. I honestly think it would be a fairly popular addition as that's how most are used these days. Especially up in Canada. I mean I'm sure most people are familiar with FS KBT's P-3 airtanker. Anyone know how I could possibly get in contact with them or anyone involved with their Electra? I mean, I have prototypes done and everything. I'm really hoping I don't have to shelve it or let it go. Any assistance would be appreciated. I don't feel right just doing the mod giving them credit obviously. And...

If you have a controller - joystick, yoke, etc I'd run a diagnostic on those first. Check its calibration page to see if the controller is jumping about like haywire.

Ferrari.... one driver that's on his way out (Vettel) and one that needs a better car ( LeClerc), they're both trying to impress, but for different reasons. Team seems disjointed. Drivers merry go round has started before the racing proper this year.

Hi D'Ace, I have FS2000 scenery installed for areas outside the CFS2 world. Scenery objects on the coast usually don't have the floating problem. Kevin

Hello Norbert! I had the same problem when I installed the BoF. First, I suggest you make a dedicated, new install for this campaign. Then what I did was to remove as many DPs as possible from the Objects_DP folder. I deleted most of the CFS1 objects and all the stock weapons. Then I looked at the Lindsay Watts trees. You dont find many palms, gum- and eucalyptus trees in Europe, so I removed all those. I also found a number of other objects that i think are not necessary. I put all the removed DPs into a folder to preserve them in case I should need one after all. Right now I have 1640 objects in my BoF install, and this works for me. Another possible way of reducing the number of objects would be to look at the weapons. Quite often, there is the same bomb from FDG, DBolt,...

I installed the lates BoF campaign over the weekend. Unfortunately there was a CTD during the start process and I discovered the large number of objects as a reason. The BoF package contains 1.410 elements, adding the default objects and the required Lindsay Watt libraries there seems that the critical threshold has been exceeded. Is there any possibility to reduce/limit the number of objects for the package? Thanks for any hint Norbert

When I get back to the CFS3 computer I'll upload the latest screenshots from the testing regime. I've written a campaign to fly as an RAF bomber pilot in 1940. The campaign relies on the generic Pat's global_layer, giving access to all RAF airbases. The campaign is flown as a British pilot, as opposed to 10 Group, 11 Group etc (although they can be chosen). Lima33's experience with bombers in ETO BoB has meant this bomber campaign has a variety of MissionTypes, strike factories, strike railyards, anti_shipping. When or if you ever get the upper hand, it is possible to fly offensive missions against ammo depots, dug-in formations, the usual gamut. Also tested is a more "ambitious" spawn set for fighter intercept missions. I threw in unit sizes of 12 rather than the 8 I've been...
