Nah. I've flown a lot of different Russian birds on the sim before. This is an actual error. I'll post a screen shot tomorrow

Thanks for the Lanc lights; I'll try them. The last picture I uploaded was from the bombardier's position and I notice the bomb-sight ring is very dark. Historically was that likely? Now I am thinking if Joost's TI "h2s" could in fact be used more like Oboe navigation for the PF Mossies in particular. All the TI info other than the actual target would have to be neutral or transparent (no red or blue icons) so only the target icon has color. The picture below shows both the new h2s and Joost's TI version. I note it was much bigger so I guess you are right about the new h2s size being fine. The TI also shows why I think all the enemy icons need to go except the target one if to be more like the Oboe. Joost also gave info on the relationship between height and speed for when to...

The MAW 1943 stand-alone install has been uploaded to Mediafire, link provided below. The space required for the total install is 3.75Gb on the drive you wish to put the install. This is a beta install of the Med Theatre for gameplay in 1943 onward. The Desert Rats built the theatre and I do not take any great credit for providing a modified version designed for later in the war. It has only been tested for a single campaign called Sicily 1943. The install is crying out for some missions. So it is fairly bare-bones but makes a great theatre for all the recent aircraft and vehicles that have been built for CFS3. YOU NEED FIRST to have a copy of cfs3.exe and cfs3config.exe, from another installation of cfs3.

Dmaloof, Because Daiwalletti and I live in very different time zones, I didn't realize there were more parts, so the product is incomplete. This is why I hid the downloads. I am waiting to hear back from Daiwalletti before making a public announcement.

Thanks for the ideas! Yes, I know the list is long and the visit will be too short. Mainly looking for a few highlights besides the normal ones. Sometimes you get the best tips on little-known but good sites from stuff that others have stumbled onto besides what the tour guides gravitate to. Myself and my cousin's family are more self-explorers than guided tour folk. They're active and retired Navy and have visited the area several times already while stationed in Italy. It's nice to move along at our own pace and if we find something interesting not on our plan it's no big deal to spend some time looking at that instead of just getting herded back on the bus to the next site. :D Besides...that gives me an excuse to go back some year! Snooping around the area of Sgt York's...

Pat, thanks for the update. I wish they would just release the beauty. I realize DCS has a mixed bag of reviews on some of their previous releases (Hawk especially). Everything you showcase just proves this thing is already leaps and bounds beyond anything released after the A-10. It always amazes me how many virtual pilots critic their products as though they somehow have real world aviation experience in that actual airframe....hence why I no longer read simhq.com's forums. Too much toxicity. Now, release the damn thing DCS. I have my cake, now I want to eat it too.......:biggrin-new:

Fantastic news sir. Thank you for the very informative video. Your quote above answers my other question regarding P3D. Hopefully that is forthcoming, since LM is a huge DOD contractor and I am sure, their P3D engine is used for other things in the naval realm, considering they offer bathysphere topography.

I believe that's a 'Russian thing'. Their 'horizon' remains fixed to the cockpit and the plane moves...not the western way of having the horizon follow reality and the plane silhouette is fixed to the cockpit...;)
