Yesterday a Marine Corps F-35B and KC-130J collided over California. The F-35B crashed but pilot safely ejected. The KC-130J was seriously damaged with 3 of it's 4 engines damaged causing the pilots to make a forced landing on a plowed farm field. That crew escaped serious injuries.

I have the fastest band width in my area and it still took me two days. The sim flew well with no hiccups with settings near all the way to the right. so sorry you are going nuts about this. I am probably going to delete MSFS anyway so I won’t be on this forum and I’ll spare you the pain.

Wait, if you want to use it you have to leave it open? You can't close it and open it etc?

So what's the deal with that note about crashing if you don't open the VFR window after opening a flight? I have gotten three CTD's since I loaded the update, and I now get this long pause after I switch a mode or something, like change the time on the fly. Didn't get that pre-latest update. Do I need to open the VFR map window when I start up now to avoid a CTD?

Did you do your original install in that spot or move it via Windows after?

Japan scenery downloaded and installed rather quickly, the patch took a Little longer on the install and the SDK downloaded in a fraction of the install time. Not bad for a 300 baud modem. :biggrin-new: Just kidding, 300mb high speed.

Think it might be a combination of both the .air file and the gauges. That's an estimated guess though, as I've never made any kind of turbocharger edits.

My laptop isn't the greatest by most standards: Core basics AMD Ryzen 5 3550H NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 16.0 GB RAM Internal and external monitors both 1920x1080 But I still get what I consider great looks with fluid frame usually between 30-40 FPS. I wish I could find it again, but someone here (I think) posted a video early on that showed nearly every graphics parameter and compared every available setting. I watched it with a pencil and paper in my lap and took notes. When I was done, I was pretty happy with what I ended up with. So for the benefit of anyone here or any visitor that might happen by, here's what I'm running for Graphics settings. If one person gets something from this, I'll be satisfied.

I didn't have to do that. I have the super deluxe or whatever its called version bought from the MS Store and have it installed to a different drive to the default and everything was still there after the update, the only thing I had to go to the marketplace for was for the free Japan update.

This issue has nothing to do with bandwidth. The release notes for the patch state that if your install is in a different location than default, you'll need to go to your content manager to re-download the content you own.

I've noticed that sometimes as soon as I shut the engine down, the sim automatically takes me out of the flight to my logbook page. This is rare, but when it happens I get credit for the landing. Most times this doesn't happen, and I still get credit for the landing. Other times I don't. Seems very inconsistent. I haven't crashed a plane yet in this sim, but if you look at my logbook you would think I crashed about half of them!
