    IIRC there is also a CFS3config.exe setting that can affect this. Every couple of years, an install of mine gets the land showing up through the seawater. Blowed if I can remember what I do to fix it. If MajorMagee's Ankor shader approach doesn't fix it I think you will have to look at a setting in the configoverrides.xml file that the CFS3config.exe program writes. It really helps if you have some working installs as well as the dodgy one - then you can just compare the different configoverrides (preferably using txt file comparison software) files to see what differences there are.

    I know Rami does missions for the public but figured he knows some answers as he does so many. All planes warp to 5 to 6 miles from targets,so the AI flights have plenty of time to attack but they fly away as they are getting closer,maybe 3000/4000 meters or yards,and setup again and attack. My flight is far enough away when I want them to attack,I've played this sim since it came out so I'm not a novice at this as I think you might think I am.Also the skill and aggressiveness are set to the highest levels.I have noticed this behavior by divebombers over the years even when flying missions from others at SOH.     I sure hope he is alright. This corona virus is hitting hard in many places and so many are very sick. I remember we all had swine flu on base back in '75 when I was in the military. Many of us were bedridden for about 1 week. It happened about 2 days after getting the alleged shot for it...been wondering ever since if we were just a part of some military "study." Again I hope Klaus is ok...

    FYI Rami builds mainly for public domain, for which we're all very grateful. I've always built missions for private use only, so there's that also. Same mechanics either way. Keeping all to myself gives me more flexibility to do what I want and not be as restricted by historical details the general community might be sensitive about. But just taking this a little further, if I may, what's the range to target when you give the attack commands on your choices? Taking your last post on the surface, it sounds like the wingmen are too close and the AI engine needs to reset. Tasking them further out might help. Are you also setting all AI skill and aggressiveness to highest levels?

    Scenario 2 AI flights of Dauntless Dive Bombers of 4 set at 14000ft and 12000ft behind the 2 carriers to be attacked,each attacks a different carrier.My flight 7 Dauntless at 11000ft is to attack my choice. When AI get close they turn around and reset to attack.There is a reason for this but not sure if you know why.It's not just to get the best angle to attack but another factor probably coded into the game. I figured Rami would know as he builds missions. TheBookie

    Bump, I'm having the same issue. If I delete the various ZX files and reload the water looks as it should with Ankor's shaders installed. However if I open up the game without doing so the water looks like it does in OP's post with the underlying terrain showing through and the sea being dark and transparent. Is there any way to fix this?

    I really don`t understand what I am doing wrong. I was now trying to make a flight, using the AI Tu95, from MAIW, from Murmansk to Poznan. So I used AFCAD, to see if everything was okay at Murmansk, and no errors where found. I then used AIFP to set up the flight, but now the TU95 does not even show up. When I made a flightplan starting from an airfield in England, the TU95 did show up.. I think I am not getting the date/season thing... Which settings do you guys use, regarding standard/summer time, and such Thanks!

    Thanks! I have managed to get the AI planes to taxi and take off. It somehow has to do with the month/season. I have made a flightplan from Molesworth to Reims, to fly by B17. When I load the flight in July, nothing happens, but when I start the flight during winter, suddenly it worked. So, do you know how to get the AI to work during every month? Thanks!
