Great repaint! I'm using it on my V.3.14 and it works fine. The paint shows well on the v.2 model but the textures on the panel make it blackish.

***mini update*** "Just a short note today: As of today, we are at the point where enough of the Hornet systems are functional to make a great, authentic Hornet startup video. I'm starting to create this video today. It will take a few days to complete the video. Thanks!"

You can change it to V.3.14 by adding these two lines in your aircraft.cfg and putting Manfred's model updates into the folder. I know because that's my repaint LOL sim=Douglas_DC3_v1.5 model= C47_2

I did discover, accidentally mind you, two tricks with Corframs: First, the best way to keep them looking top-notch is to use Pledge. Lemon Pledge to be specific. Little bit on a soft cloth and wipe. Boom, they look better than new, almost. Works for most plexiglass (perspex for our British friends) as well. Cleans, decreases tiny little scratches, all of that. Works for aircraft canopies, if you'e lacking a supply of Whale C*&^ to polish them with. Second, never, ever, under any condition, spill gasoline on them. It makes the layers they're made of separate. Totally ruins them. I was real glad I was on the way home when I did it. A quick run to the PX was suddenly in order. I always kept two pair, one for everyday wear, one for inspections. Most of us jarheads had that set up for...

Best I could come up with is a Ver. 2 not the V.3.14. I did change the first pic because I forgot to add the ski textures to the Buffalo texture folder!

Thanks Jan, Barry and Sundog! It's getting close to a public beta. What still needs to happen: 1. FDE refinement. 2. A few external texture details. 3. Redo of interior canopy rail details 4. Getting the pilot in there! (Javis is working this right now). 5. My secret wishlist project item(s).

This is my favorite historical photograph from my Father. These men weren’t home for Christmas in 1944. However it doesn't seemed to have dampened there spirits too much. My Dad and his friends went for a stroll at Bassingbourn after a fresh snowfall on or about Christmas 1944. Dad snapped the picture. They are standing in front of the 91st BG, 323rd BS Operations Office in hanger #3. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays and a safe and prosperous New Year! Cheers,

I have three beaus just about ready to ship to you for final touches. The pits really need a once over in my opinion. I checked on the dihedral tailfins and all I could find was a bit saying that the mkii were mixed beginning in January '42 an most were dihedral after that. So do you want a mkii with the 12 degree fins? Ted

Hi SS, I bought the same CD deal. I have the package installed (at least parts of it) and all my models show fuel gauges in the vc and display 75 gallon drop tanks when the "show/hide payload" switch is clicked. It takes some fiddling with my eyepoint to see the fuel gauges. I can confirm that the aircraft does load with low oxygen levels; that never bothered me as I fly my Mustangs barnstormer style. I can also confirm that none of my models seem to allow interaction with the supercharger in the vc; again, that never bothered me as I fly low-level mostly.

:encouragement: Hiya Folks, The picture show Dudley and me self making final turn with the AA DC-4 into the Duke City, called this because the city was named after a Duke of Albuquerque, (different spelling for the Duke's real title.) Oh well, don't fret, it took me awhile to figure it out. Enough of the History of Albuquerque. This was a grand flight as we fkew over the White Sands area without getting any missile sent our way, and we also crossed the arear near the Trinity site where the first atom bomb was tested, hehe and no effects of radiation affecting us. New Mexico is truly the Land of enchantment! Cu all later. :wiggle:
