Hi Pat. Thanks for the response. Not doing snap roles or other "aerobatics", just want to be able to perform a crisp break turn. The roll rate is not a problem. I have a sturdy (CH) HOTAS with rudders. I've gone to extremes and even slammed the stick to the stops and I just can't keep up with the roll in a sharp break in either direction. Before I can catch the roll it has exceeded 90 degrees and when I do catch the roll it it rolls opposite thru 90 before settling. Maybe its a practice makes perfect kinda thing but I've not had this happen with other virtual jets, pay or free. Also, couple things I've noticed. The flap switch shows a poke point but does not operate. It shows to be in the "auto" mode all the time (full up). You mention keeping roll trim set to ZERO. I assume...

I am going to assume that the last download link is no longer working. Send me a PM and I will put them in Dropbox for you to download. I have them archived on a flash drive and just need to find the last version for you which won't be hard (I hope LOL). Thank you for your interest. This was six months work. :encouragement:

Hi Uli. Thanks for your reply. I agree that the plane has much from the Fokker, however, I think the transition between windscreen and wing and the windscreen itself is different. The engine is kind of strange. Never seen an F.VII with this engine installation. On the other side, the cables along the fuselage really look like Fokker. What is that silvery stripe above the windows? Another row of windows? Maybe in the end it is indeed simply a Fokker with an unknown engine. Has anybody a photo of the F.VII-prototype?

I use ORBX FTX_NA_NCA, SCA and PNW. I had a very bad experience with the original Victoria+ scenery (which I found out later was incompatible with installed ORBX). I had to delete Victoria+ and uninstall/reinstall my P3Dv4 before I could get back into the game. There used to be a payware version (Victoria+ v8 PNW SP1) that was made by Jon Patch. It was supposed to be compatible with ORBX. With his demise, it is no longer available. Question 1: will anyone who still has this version please contact me. Is it really compatible with ORBX? Do you know if it works with P3Dv4? Question 2: CYYJ (2017) version 7.05 is listed as P3Dv4 compatible. Is it also ORBX compatible? Please respond if you know. Best to you all, Bill

I think it's the F.VIIa prototype with Liberty engine, see here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Fokker_F.VIIa_prototype_with_Liberty_engine_(7585231648).jpg

The dead zones for the controller axes should all be 0 (full left). The FCS' PID controller handles the rest. The only axis this may not apply to is the Rudder axis. That can have a small deadzone to prevent inadvertent actuation of the rudders during other maneuvers. This plane requires no rudder use during most normal maneuvering. There are a few exceptions, like the Pirouette maneuver, that require rudder input, but most don't. It's known in the Navy as a "feet on the floor" aircraft. You don't really keep your feet off the rudder pedals, but you normally don't use them. May I ask at what speeds and altitudes you experience the "slow-roll" effect? It matters. Normally, btw, once a roll is started, it must then be cancelled. IOW: You move the stick in roll, the plane starts rolling....

Hi folks, The Falcon is complete now, but I'm heavily involved in a scenery project and as such am wondering if anybody would like to do the sounds for this wonderful hunk of junk? I have a couple of WAVs with all the main Star Wars sounds on it, including the "comedy" engine-start failure sound, combustion, afterburner and cockpit beeps etc. Not much else required really, just someone with the knowledge to quickly put the sounds together for the finished package. PM me or just reply here if you're interested :)
