One only has to look through the libraries at popular and long established sites such as AVSIM or FlightSim to see the lack of interest in Military aviation. Cost is a factor in 'Study Level' simulations, a niche market within a niche market as well, best suited to a study Sim like LM P3Dv5 Pro. :devilish:

Wise words indeed. Milviz make truly top-notch airplanes, and they take a long time to create, so it's tough to build a viable business around military airplanes solely from the flight simulator community, when only around 20% of the total sales are of military aircraft. Good to hear that their other outlets are paying dividends though, it shows how good their airplanes are.

The sad reality is that commercial and GA aircraft outsell military by a fair bit. Exacerbated by the problem that militaries biggest fans often find it a stretch to pay the price for today's quality add-ons and a high quality military aircraft is every bit as complicated to implement (or more) as a commercial or GA when you look at weapons and targeting systems for example. I expect MilViz turned to private customers to make ends meet. But I also expect MilViz would never turn a blind eye to us hobbiest customers unless it absolutely had to (which I am assuming was the case for the T38C). My hope and expectation is that only current aircraft, and only if they were obligated to, would MilViz not make their military add-ons available publicly. We should be happy for them thst they are...

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category P3D / P4D Add-Ons - Warbird repaints Description: On D-Day the "Wiskey 7" led the 2nd Wave of the Airborne invasion, (Serial 18) Mission Boston, dropping Troopers of the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne on DZ "O" near St Mere Eglise. The 43-30652 - W7 R returned to the same Drop Zone later that day to air-drop supplies to the troops it dropped earlier. This is a repaint only, you need to install the beautiful freeware plane first. It's available here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php/117492-P3D-v4-5-Douglas-C47-RAF-KN660-zip Big thanks to Manfred Jahn and his team for creating this beautiful model and Jan Visser and his team for all the work done to improve this model even further.

That bloody-minded Hun is making sure of his kill! The 110 plunges after my doomed aircraft, practically machine-gunning the wreck, and Im disappointed when it manages to pull up, before also hitting the ground. Below me, two more chutes pop open you can only see one in the pic below, but there are two. This is a bit of a puzzler. At first I thought the 110s crew had bailed out too, but the aircraft flies on happily. They must be the other two from my own aircraft the gunner/operator from the dorsal turret, and my invisible navigator/bomb aimer. Id been wondering where hed got to, as I never saw him on his little jump seat beside me or up in the nose. Strange. Great they got out, though.

Yes there have been bits and pieces done, by various CFS2-ers, also from CFS1 to CFS2...I've used FSX stuff etc. If you're talking about if M$ will be bothered...CFS2 a 20 year old defunct sim into Fs9, a 17r old defunct sim, for no profit or commercial purpose...hmmmmmm..ha ha. TBH most of the stuff we do breaks someones copyright. Cheers Shessi

Not a chance! The Hun is quickly back on my tail. In desperation, I risk a quick glance at my map, in search of a nearby airfield. This reveals there's one not far off - you can see it in the next pic, near my tail-wheel. I roll out onto a course for the airfield and dive for it. It takes me about two seconds to realise I have no hope of making it. Even if I did, my controls feel sluggish and I reckon a landing attempt would be risky. I hate abandoning an aircraft while she's still airworthy, but there's no point in committing suicide and taking my crew with me. The decision to bail out is no sooner made, than a burst of fire from my left puts the matter beyond any remaining doubt.

I briefly try to out-turn the nearest 110, if only to stay out of his line of fire. This just gets me hit again, in the wing and tail. The Hun is sticking to me like glue... ...and the ground is still a long way below.

Back in the pilot's seat, I shove the nose down and head for the deck. It's a long way down, but what else can I do? A Hun is already coming in from my right. I turn hard into him, but keep my nose well down. Up above us, one of his mates is closing in to finish off the burning Blenheim. Partly to lighten my load, partly as it's the only chance I'll get to do any damage - if we're still over enemy-held territory - I dump my bomb load. One other Blenheim has survived without serious damage and does likewise.

I've never made a scenery using CFS2 objects, but I have Maskrider's CFS2 NAS Glendale scenery, presumably made with CFS2 objects, in FS9 and it works.

Well, you're doing something right if they taxi and take off. As for times, if you use Traffic Tools, all your flight plans will be in GMT regardless of your local time, so you'll need to account for that difference if you're airport is in a different time zone. As for the seasons - I have only one possible clue - daylight savings time. That could throw your times off by an hour, depending on where your airport is. When you don't see a plane getting ready for takeoff when you expect it, try checking one hour earlier or later. If you don't see the plane at all, maybe it took off an hour ago and it's gone flying.

I have a good rattle at the Hun as he crosses to our rear.... ...but next second, there's another 110 rolling onto his back as he swoops down on us. He slides past behind me and gets under my tail before I can even bring my gun to bear.
