    Some neat stuff on how the cameras were operated in the RF-8 (AKA F8U-1P) Crusader in this old training film: The flare ejection stuff for night shots towards the end is really cool! Had no idea the RF-8 cameras had a "flash" feature!

    I believe that Shessi brought the texture size down from 2048 to 1024, on the final release but check with him. FS9 WILL read 2048,2048 textures with mip maps. ( I didn't think it would either but it does.) BTW, I'm no expert. lol! BB686:US-flag: EDIT: Shessi beat me to the punch...

    Hi Papi, The simple answer is it's you that's going wrong..ha ha! :a1310: Yes, Fs9 supports up to 2048x tex, CFS2 up to 1024x, and FSX up to 4096x. The tex for all the KM Ju88 series of ac are the same, so you can use an A4 tex on a G6 etc. There are subtle exhaust differences because of the Jumo and BMW engines, and air brakes, but that's all. Make sure the name of the new tex is the same, and you have saved it as the correct format ie DXT3, 365 etc.

    Settings - Keyboard, at the bottom it says -"reset key bindings to default for" and there's a pull down. Select FSX and it will import your settings. No effect what so ever on performance. Sue

    Yes, MCAS Iwakuni is part of MAIW's Asia package. Just installed it today. Looks great until I got up in the air and then started noticing the problems.

    What layer level is the MCAS in relation to either ORBX or the default? I've never owned any ORBX products, so I'm of limited help. But I sometimes find issues like this correlate to where I have these ranked in relation to each other. dl ps - did that MCAS come through the Matrix? I've only installed Matrix - NA, not Asia (yet). I'm aware of that airfield - was one I recently put into FSX, but didn't want to throw too much at my new P3D until I had things more sorted. dl

    Marty, Looking at this model when compared to the other model with the underwing pods, it appears that this model is unfinished. The difference in prop animation is also a give-away, along with the lack of a gunner. You also don't see a lot of aircraft on the runway with the engine cowling open, that magically snaps shut upon the engine start command. Theoretically, you could try and "alpha out" the rear gunner texture and use some of the animated .dp pilots / gunners ones we now have in the library, perhaps in conjunction with oldwheat's gun tubes, but that seems like a lot of effort for a model that is barely used by the CFS2 community. Given that Padbury aircraft is long-defunct and that the source files, unless Jed Marsh has them, (assuming he's even still around) are...

    Hi NC, I have "it" - but it had been so long since I flew the "other" Prowler, and it being around the Alphasim -> Virtavia transition period, I can't recall what version of "it" I have. Curiously, a few days ago, as part of tweaking the Razbam Prowler, I did drag it (straight from my FSX inactive folder, not a reinstall) to do a quick function check. As I recall, it had some limited VC switchability - with all of the 2D panels able to be called up and displaying mostly correctly. Mind you, I was checking mostly to compare night lighting, so it was by no means an exhaustive review or comparison. I'll take a bit deeper look tonight, and also confirm what version I bought. That's got to be almost a decade ago ... :dizzy:

    I have tried everything I can think of this fix this problem, but am beginning to think there is no solution. Note screenshot with the beautifully done scenery for MCAS Iwakuni, Japan, but the default runways are still showing:banghead: I have tried running Orbx Vector tool. I was hoping to use the Orbx Configuration Tool to "exclude" RJOI, but it is not showing up on the list to be able to select it. I tried typing RJOI in the "Disable" window, but whatever the case, it has zero effect. Problem remains. I even renamed the Orbx .bgl file for RJOI to ".bak", but no change. Is there a way to fix this? In addition, there are some elevation problems. And no, Vector does not fix that, either. Oh, and just to add, I did attempt to post about this on the MAIW forum, but not able...

    Hallo Shessi and experts, I have aproblem with the textures of this ac. I wanted to make a repaint. At first I was astonished to find the texture in 2048X2048 size believing that fs9 only "eats" 1024X1024 size. Than my new repaint showed well in my repaint soft, but on the sim the original and the repaint showed a texture in complets wrong paint of an A-4 ! I tried all conversation to different formats,. Allways the wrong texture apeared. What is going wrong? Yours

    Thanks, you should! I don't fly anything else anymore. I've uninstalled P3D. Until it gets to DCS visual standard throughout. Even with PBR right now, it's the same lighting engine which is archaic by comparison. I just can't fly around in P3D anymore. Join the dark side!
