Haha, yeah, that match was not fun. I still blame the time difference :biggrin-new:. I really did not fly well. My opponent did lose me too, but overall he was a much better pilot on the day, and I had no answer for the Mirage. Don't know if you saw our first match, but the ground killed me, because the Mirage was all over me and I was trying everything I could to get him off me, and was too close to the ground. The one time I got behind him in the second match, he forced me to overshoot. French guy in a Mirage, what are you gonna do?:biggrin-new: Overall though the whole experience was fun, and a learning experience for me. Hopefully there are more tournaments like it.

RCS Panels is here: http://www.roychaffin.com/rcs-panels.html The B-25 FSX package is free, within the download options. You have to hunt around once you get it loaded to find both the 2D and 3d panels, but they are there.

I'm in! Always been a huge P-47 fan, seen them fly in person several times. A very impressive aircraft even today, flown by some of the bravest men back in the day. Can't wait to get in the VC and go flying!

I didn't. I wanted to, but it wouldn't allow me to sign up.. I tried the day before the deadline. I didn't wait on purpose, I forgot about it and then remembered, and thought I was lucky enough to remember the day prior to the deadline.....oh well....Ha! I can't believe that was you during that long cat and mouse! LOL..... funny. Small world.

I have Rise of Flight and wasn't going to bother with a CFS2 WW1 install. Now I've changed my mind! Looks fantastic!

I found I get this issue. What worked for me was right clicking on the Scenedb and objects_dp folders, enter properties, then security and ensure you have appropriate permissions. I did this to the CFS2 main directory initially but it doesnt seem to automatically work on all folders contained within. Even though I am the sole user and administrator of this PC, It doesnt seem to recognise that although I have no problem using things like 'run as admin'

Thanks MaskRider, I deleted a bunch of dp files that starts with ~**** and some I think are useless dp files. I got down to 1603 dp files and I can use all the dp files from the CD Airfield Buildings Library 4.0 without any problems. I am not too sure whether there is limit to the number of dp files. Andrew

Haha. I spent half an hour chasing spits around in various cannon armed aircraft last night trying to get a good screenshot. Failed miserably! If you get a good nose or tail shot with 20mm, enough to break the part off, you should see the results!

Hi - looking good. Am wondering why in the last round of night shots, the light neither illuminate the static aircraft, nor those in turn cast a shadow under said light. Again, just curious - otherwise, it's coming along nicely. dl

***Update*** "DCS: P-47 Progress Update One of the most anticipated WWII modules for DCS is the P-47 and we are excited to say it is getting close. We now have a brand new external model and cockpit in final phase of completion and our FM guru Yo-Yo is hard at work on the turbo-compressor unit and remaining FM issues. It shouldn't be much longer before you will get your hands on this wonderful module.

I'll do the unveil. All I have was the caption Curtiss JN mod to a monoplane. The only other item I have was it was taken probably in the San Diego area. Open House. Chris

Glad to hear you enjoy them. I did a series of tutorials available in the SOH downloads area that cover the basics of how I do my scenery and the various programs that I use to get the final results you see in the Sim. Click on the link in my signature and it will give you everything I've uploaded to SOH.
