This is a 'first draft' experiment with PBR. Nothing like finished but gives an idea of what's possible. Now to dull it all back down...!

Neither mate its the IRIS Phantom FSX native BETA. Its a Clean Cab and the wings don't fold but its likely to be the nearest thing to an Authentic FG.1 that were going to get. Still its great for doing Touch and go's out in the Channel!

I assume (yeah, I know) that #1 replicates a replacement engine assembly probably taken from a salvaged O.D. aircraft. The typical B-24 engine assembly had the forward cowl ring and the cowl flaps attached as part of the assembly. These type replacements were not unusual, saved time, and painting was a low priority for quick maintenance trun around. I think it adds character to the model and looks great! Steve

How accurate and extensive do you plan on doing the VC? Full checklist (as much as FSX/P3D allows)? I have been very disappointed that A2A quit after their B17G Accusim and Aeroplane Heaven didn't pick this one up either. Looking forward to yours.

Jorge, Sorry to say, that's all there is. The info posted is from my notes. And for the original...well that was over ten years ago. I had tried it on the Bainbridge destroyer in gmax with no success. The phrasing "whole" threw me off also. This word may be somewhat correct or no where near correct. Sorry. Dave

Hi Guys, Gun# and Barrel# are Variables used by CFS2 to animate the Gun part. I looked at the stock B24 SCASM file vs Allen's B24J SCASM file and it seems that GMAX does not create these Variables. I think Gun# is left/right and Barrel# is up/down. But I am not sure. Also I don't know how many Gun part Variables one can have. The Gun parts are only animated for the AI. The movement of the Gun parts is governed by the parameters set in the DP file. It looks like one would have to hand edit the SCASM file and put the Variables and Gun Animation calls in the model. Hope this helps, B24Guy

Not about to go the Simviation route, but having tried FS Norway the download starts fast but slows to a crawl after 300 or so MB then fails.:banghead:

Hello again, Duplicating the 4 float contact point lines to make scrape points out of them, interferes with the planeīs floating abilities, and it sinks, so thatīs no good. Then, I have had no success with Flags=8, so that also seems to be a waste of time. However, it is interesting that values 7 and/or 8 can be entered in position Nš 13 of the float contact-point lines themselves, (previously 2 and 3 for left and right gear), and this way the Sound.cfg can detect them as Aux1 and Aux2 scrape points, and will assign sounds to them, in this case, water sounds. For the moment, they are only audible from inside the plane, the 2D panel view, but at least itīs a tangible step forward.

Marty, when flying Captain Kurts Campaigns you should use his airfields or the ones he is referring to. I made airfields for an SCW Campaign to come, but these don't fit Captain Kurts missions and campaigns. That is the answer to your problems. Cheers Achim

Hi fabulousfour:encouragement: Sorry, not a Knepper. I understand your choice, a lot of similarities. She was completed in 1964. Named Lesa Bair TC1 (TC1 for Taylorcraft/Cessna 1). Taylorcraft fuselage, Cessna 140 wings. Built by Robert B. Barker and his brother. Registration N72418 All agree that fabulousfour does the next one?

I guess this is the Knepper Crusader, probably the KAC-5 which should be the only Knepper design with a Lycoming O-235. Could find only pictures of the Knepper KA-1 which is very similar but has no windows behind the doors.

(the quotes have been reorganized a bit) I appreciate your attitude. :encouragement: The problem wasn't you making that file, it was you not asking me first in spite of there being a direct instruction in the readme - as you probably understand, I want to see what is being done about my work before it goes to the public. The file is good, it works as intended, let it be. The next time you want to do such a thing for my work, ask me first, I guarantee you won't have much trouble getting that permission. Ask early enough in the process and I may even give you the panel lines to begin with. We're all working towards a better CFS3 but let's all do according to the original file authors' wishes, after all it's nearly always just a matter of asking. I fully agree with the bolded...

"I guess i will just wait until someone correct them or makes a better one." Why don't you try it yourself?? Maybe you'll learn a lot and help others further, like I did for you. Do you think that we helped flightsimming as far as it is today by sitting on our ass? Never give up, there are enough mission building programmes in the library. Sorry Marty, but lines like that make that I'm :miserable::miserable:. hertzie.

Appeared 1964. Two famous names in the designation. Lycoming O-235 engine. Fuselage of one famous name mated to wings of the other and a then tri-gear added. Was restored around 2009 and it still around.
