Welcome back to FS2004. I too just build my dream computer, well back in August 2019. Haven't done too much in FS2004, mostly a lot of the newer sims. Also, I am located here in the Hammer too. Just north of the airport and depending on the wind of the day, get to watch the warbirds take-off/land when summer time flying begins. We go to the CWH about every other month or so as they always carry the PC Pilot magazine. I know Chapters/Indigo does too, but would rather give my money to CWH as it is awesome there. Enjoy your new computer.

Hi all. I've teamed up with George Arana in doing a DC-10 air tanker mod for the Eric Cantu / SGA DC-10-10 and -30 airframes. We're currently developing this beautiful bird. George's excellent modeling skills has propelled my simple tank mod into a more realistic venture. I can't thank him enough for his help. He has done physical modifications to the tank I had done as well as modified the airframes to better represent the -30s in particular, as they have the centerline gear removed because of the external tank. George has also mentioned he'd like to do a similar modification to the SGA DC-9s as well to represent Erickson Aero's MD-87s. George has also been assisting me in getting the old Hovercontrol 412 helitanker versions ready for P3D(project is over in the P3D forum). This will be...

Hello friends. It's been a little while since I've been here. Years ago my computer up and died, ending my FS2004 involvement. I couldn't bare watching you guys enjoying yourselves anymore, I just had to move on. Lol. I tried to find something as rewarding as the flightsim, but there just isn't. PS3 just doesn't cut it. But when you have no computer, you made due. I think I got all the warbird games ha! Life.. it hands you things, and you have to figure it out. There are no manuals. Well, I'm glad to say things are much better these days, a lot more stable for me. I just had my first-ever dream computer built in anticipation of the new platform. I'm excited for us all! It's what we've been dreaming of! But at the same time, not forgetting where I came from. My beloved FS2004. And...

Great photo John. Great looking plane. The big mapping issue most folks wouldn’t notice on the period paints, and those who do would probably just let it go as my omission. The main gear strut door is flipped horizontally and offset on the opposite side, not mirrored but the same real estate is flipped. In other words forward on one side is aft on the other, and, since the shape Of the door is unique, and with the offset on one side, any hope of getting painted objects to align is out the window. Any how, it’s still on my list and with the addition of the wheel cover doors it will stay a little longer. Thanks for posting that photo. It shows a lot of stuff to good advantage.

James, interesting timeline since wiki states mkvi AI was installed in Defiant II starting in August 41 though it turned out the the system needed further refinement.

Today, I left Two Harbours at Orbx's Catalina Island in search of Milton's beautiful Bounty which I had installed earlier. I had downloaded the AI Bounty in two versions : 1) older version with AI files from here : http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php/94239-Five-HMS-Bounty-AI-Traffic-Files-zip 2) new version with HMS Victory from here : http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php/117429-AI-HMS-Bounty-and-HMS-Victory-FSX-Native-Ships

I can definitely understand certain mapping situations dictating which paints can/can't work (I know from experience with my Mustangs that there is one Fighter Group in particular where I can't accurately depict the nose markings due to an issue with the mapping which I hadn't considered at the time). With regard to the wheel doors, however, the CAF Helldiver has had the doors for the past few years now. Vulture's Row Aviation in California was able to manufacture a brand new set, based on an original surviving example and the original blueprints. Unfortunately it does still have the frame-less forward canopy and wildly inaccurate stars & bars. https://flickr.com/photos/ajw1970/49465169303/

I reworked the model to accept CFS2 commands. Now, Concorde's nose commands actuate guns animations. All control surfaces are working well except bomb bays (theres no way to fix it). Now, I need to put real German bombs at it. It can offer a lot of resistance as an AI plane. In an attack, i lost four P-38, including myself, without shooting it down! As a pilot, I feel a safe and reliable lady with no vices. Cheers Pepe

After seeing an earlier post WRT spawn sounds, I thought i would look at the MAW 'siren' and see what's up. Now in MAW, it's not anywhere as a facility in its own right, but part or airfields or whatever. So I decided to make a facility of just the siren which was like this <Facility Type="siren" Flags="isMilitary" OuterDistance="20000"> <Units> <Unit Type="siren" Position="0.00 0.00" Angle="0.00"/> </Units> <GroundPlanes/> <Routes/> </Facility>

UT and SW Been out of the cockpit for a bit. Back now. My humble thanks to both of you. Replacing the cfs2.cfg solved the worst of it. The throttle now works. Still having problem getting the x and y axis of my "THROTTLE QUAD" working to suit me but that's small potatoes. Can't see how the issue occurred in the first place, still, I'm back in business and mighty grateful for your guidance.

Thanks Kent! These liveries were made long ago for the Milviz F-86F Sabre. I made the screenshots of the Golden Hawks during development of the model. Upon release I made a livery pack. As far as I can remember, the Golden Hawks liverey is included in that livery pack. The livery pack will require the Milviz F-86f model to be installed, and it is available for free download here (look at the bottom of the website): https://milviz.com/flight/products/F86F30/index.php

I inadvertently posted this over at the FS2002-2004 forum, so I thought I'd re-post here in the correct place! This is a really nice piece of scenery and I like it very much but the hangers are black, no texture at all. I do have Sidney Schwartz's "ez_hangers" installed as stated in the readme txt but could not find kb's static aircraft for FSX. I have left a pm for the author (rdaniell) but have not received a reply yet. I noticed he hasn't post for a while so I don't know. If anyone has this scenery, (http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?linkid=17220&catid=113) installed and doesn't have the same black hanger issue, could you let me know how you resolved this issue? Thanks, Steve
