Hello All, In my post #76, I came to an erroneous conclusion that the G.I with a different rudder shape on one of the drawings I had, was a newer variant which never saw production. In effect, it wasn´t a newer variant, but the original 1915 Friedl-Ursinus Grosskampfflugzeug (large battle-plane) prototype (which did not see production) built by Oskar Ursinus and Helmut Friedl, equipped with 2 x 100 Hp Merdeces D.I engines, before Gothaer Waggonfabrik acquired the license to build 18 Gotha G.I units, plus one Gotha G.I Ursinus Wasserdoppeldecker (Water-biplane), which saw service during the beginning of WW1 and was apparently based in Zeebrugge on the Belgian coast. Thanks to Ravenna and Kdriver for indicating the sources of this corrected information! I also dug out my...

No worries. The offer of help will remain open though... I'm always keen to collaborate on the creation of scenery and especially smaller airstrips dotted around the country. Just drop me a PM if you want to discuss anytime... Andy

Anyone tried Rex4 with soft clouds? It's payware, but the quality is outstanding. See here. Dave

Have you set the ORBX insertion point in FTX Central? The idea is that all your own add-on scenery must be higher in the scenery list than any ORBX scenery. If it isn't, ORBX will overwrite it when generating scenery displays. Dave

In P3D, RawInput is the default, not direct, which is why it often pops up as a contributor. Since force feedback is being mentioned, I should also point out that if the default sim FFB is used then you will have a horrible time as well. Finally, like I said earlier, just changing the location of your joystick relative to your body can change your perceptions of an aircraft considerably. I don’t find the trim requirements excessive, and I can easily counter any deviations with light pressure simply because my stick is between my knees, allowing me to use my wrist and finger tips, instead of my whole arm.

. . . is there a way to copy a texture from someone's freeware scenery and import it into a ground poly using ADE without jumping through too many hoops?

Many thanks Andy for your reply and offer of help. Afraid this is all above my skill level. I will just live with what I have been able to create in ADE.

Pitch oscillating is a constant problem especially on climb out and landing approach. Also the trim changes needed for flaps are to my mind excessive. I can't imagine a real world pilot wanting to go anywhere near this beast if this is how the real aircraft performs.
