    Mal and I have been chatting off line about this one. Dusted her off and brought her out of the hangar into P3Dv4. Looks and flies well. Yes, Henk did a much improved FDE and trapped her on the Midway and Oriskany without too much fuss. There are loads of repaints, many by some of the very best painters around. Neither of us however have had any luck with getting the load out UI and gauge - the ASCU - to work in P3Dv4.

    Hello Ivan, I have just found an interesting performance test document, on the different P-39 models, hand-written in blue pencil, which you may have come across too. http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/P-39/P-39_Aircraft_Performance_Characteristics.jpg It is the last one on a list of links at the very end of this page: http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/P-39/P-39.html It has extensive details - manifold pressures, RPM and speeds for different powers at different altitudes. The first column corresponds to the P-39D-D2 with its 1325 Hp

    I downloaded aussieman's two textures for the Mk3 Civ and they both show the same issue as this. Take careful note of the door near the rear of the fuselage, its not upside down and its in the correct orientation. The front of the textures, including the forward fuselage is fine.

    Hi Francois, thanks for joining the conversation. I purchased from fsaddonshop.com last week and installed the p3d version followed by the expansion pack. Hudson-P3D-SCP-ser.zip and HudsonEXP-SCP-wos.zip. If you have some updated files I could try that would be wonderful.

    Hello Ivan, OK, will do, no problem. Ive just deleted my last post there. It appears I was just in time. The last thing I want to do is interefere with your project. You are totally correct in saying that the information isnt terribly hard to find. Actually, I had already seen all you posted on your Airacobra thread. That was the reason behind my comment there: "You have certainly put together a good summary of the different models." I just thought my question would be more on topic on that thread, but dont worry, Im just as happy to stick to this one.

    Hello Aleatorylamp, I believe you should keep your version of the Airacobra here as you had originally intended. I believe I commented about this via email way before I started the Airacobra thread. We are not really building the same aeroplane nor are we actually building by the same methods and I don't really want to confuse the issues and chase things that are not related to what I am actually trying to do with this project. With the kinds of questions you have been asking, I am fairly certain you haven't actually done much research yet. The information I am working from isn't terribly hard to find. It is just time consuming to put together in a way that is useable for building an aircraft project. There is also the issue of sorting through the contradictory information to...

    Oh man, that would have been great. I was actually going to play with the glass texture at some point, but I guess I won't bother now.

    The only thing I will need to get, from what I understand from reading about it, is a new pair of prescription glasses with wire frames that should fit with the headset on. I will try the headset with my current U.S. military issue black plastic framed glasses, but have a feeling they may not be too comfortable with the headset. Will see. NC

    Forgive my ignorance here Andrew, but is it the case that you will be swapping between squadrons in the campaign? If there is a random selection of missions on a given day might those missions be flown by different elements of the same squadron? It seems to me that changing aircraft types and situations gives a better historical overview of the battle, whereas staying in the one squadron with a dynamic progression through the missions feels more immersive. Am I missing something?

    A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Civilian prop skins Description: One in a series of three liveries done for the excellent Falco from the renowned Italian Designer Stelio Frati. He is also the designer responsible for the Marchetti SF260. The main external textures are 4096x4096 (DDS5). Additional textures for the interior and various parts are also included as some carried the same color as the exterior. Each livery zipfile contains all the textures for the aircraft, so it's a complete replacement 1 for 1. I suggest that you make a copy of the original texture folder (or move or rename the original until you're satisfied that the livery meets your requirements). The VC panel in the aircraft is unique in that the gauges do not sit on top of the panel. ....

    title = ETO_Spit_MkIasim = ETO_Spit_MkIamodel = ETO_Spit_MkIa and title = ETO_Spit_54_40sim = ETO_Spit_54_40model = ETO_Spit_54_40 In fact I don't think the former is showing up in QC either.
