I've got both the Xtreme Prototypes pack and the Franz Luftfahrt packages, haven't flow either in a couple of years though... no reflection on the models I just don't really fire up FSX that often these days. I may or may not have swapped the default L45 cockpit of the FL for the EP L24's cockpit, can't remember really, certainly planned to though. Much like yourself I prefer the older steam driven Lears to the glass cockpit variants. I don't recall any particular performance issues with either model and I'm running on what can now only be described as an antique. I built this machine when I started university, and graduated 5 years ago... bit of a beast in its day but that was 9 years ago :dizzy:. I'll try and do a test flight of both either tonight or tomorrow and report back, as...

You may be on to something there Willy. I checked Warwick Carters Me-163 cfg file, and the contact section has integers defining wheels, scrapes, and a skid. In the vertical position from the datum line, the left and right dolly wheels are at -4.4, and the single skid entry is at -3.603333 on the center line. The Arado's skids are much higher that the dolly's wheels compared to the 163, but it might work.

OT but it occurred to me that both the Jack Reacher films (featuring Tom Bloody Cruise) should be remade with David Boreanaz as Jack Reacher. Just a sideways thought! :pirate:

Yes, Tom Cruise flew his own P-51K for some scenes in the movie, as did Steve Hinton Jr. The cockpit shots of Cruise and the other actors were filmed with them in the rear position in two-seat F-18's, going through real maneuvers, and with the actors of course trained and rehearsed with the proper appearance as though they are really in control of the aircraft as single-cockpit F-18's.

Did you try disabling Avira when running it? It's a good antivirus program but does, occasionally, interact oddly with things.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Military skins - Vietnam Description: This is a fictional repaint based on one photograph of 6 Beavers on the flight line during the brief period in 1962 when they served with Air America. These textures are intended for the MilViz DHC-2 'Base' factory original porthole model. . Given Tom Cruise's age, that is where a real USN pilot would likely be. Wonder how much CGI will be used in this film? Back in the days of the original film, it was a lot of flying with real F-5's and F-14's.

In fact, I have a friend that was promoted to O-6 at 28 years. He was forced to retire at 30 years and did not have sufficient time in grade to retire as an O-6...he retired as an O-5! I had 18 years of service, less than 1 year time in grade and thanks to Clinton's RIF, I was able to retire as an O-5! Thanks Bill.

I don't own any of these planes, then I cannot speak about their performance. I have read a lot of feedbacks regarding the XTrem Prototypes Lear 25 and the FlySimWare Lear 35, and both were excellent on the feature and realism point of view, but I don't know anything about their impact on the FPS. Regarding Lionheart Lear 24, I would be cautious. If I remember correctly, this plane is the reason why the creator of this plane left this forum. People made some comments regarding the exterior model, more specifically the front/cockpit/nose sections which looked nothing like the real Lear 24 (proportions were totally wrong, front windows were too big etc...), and instead of acknowledging the problem, he got upset and left. I don't know if he has rectified the 3D model yet, but I...

Unrestricted line O-6s are permitted by statute to "hang around" for 30 years if not promoted (so long as they stay out of trouble). 10 U.S. Code 634: Mandates retirement for O6s not on a promotion list to O7 after 30 years of active commissioned service, except for certain officers in the Navy or Marine Corps who are either limited duty officers or permanent professors at the United States Naval Academy.
