Nope, not this one; HERE I bought these for three reasons; 1) I had a beginning of tendenitis; 2) Space on my desk is at a premium and trackball do not move; and 3) They allow greater precision for graphic design (CAD).

Hi guys, Iíve been reading and studying and viewing a lot lately (since I'm pensioned and we're all mostly at home due to COVID) and returned to mud moving again. But this time Iím focusing on Backcountry Flying. I canít thank Ed Wells enough for his excellent tutorial about scenery building. He's been a great inspiration to undertake this. Iíve set a goal to do these strips: Bernard U54 Flying B Ranch 12ID Lower Loon Creek ID67 Upper Loon Creek U72 Thomas Creek 2U8 Stibnite ID41 I'll post screenies in this thread about the progress.

Good shot Huub :encouragement: Just listen'd to a podcast about PR in the last war, one of the pilots looking for the Tirpitz got back to RAF Wick with just 10 gallons in his tank, the average Spit use's about a gallon a minute

Headed north out of Twin Falls to Salmon, ID - KSMN. Weather was decent with a threat of low ceilings ahead, but generally a nice flight until Kevin discovered the Mixmaster didn't like the cold. Orbited until we saw he was safely down in a snowy field, then headed on to Salmon. Sounds like the C337 is done but he's taking his relief fund cheque and ordering a PC-12

Logitech still has their old Setpoint software that will allow you to customize function. Your trackball controller probably has a pair of smaller buttons that can be customized, including setting one to the "middle button" functions.

Yes, my sentiments exactly. It's called being stuck between a rock and a hard place. MSFS graphics had left many of us in awe, and the interest in all other flightsim programs quickly began to disappear as a result. Now that everyone has keen interest in MSFS - we're all hoping they'll get the bugs out soon and make the main course as appealing as the appetizer. Lately 'been finding a lot of crickets in this here once very busy FSX forum ......

This is a screen capture of my "mouse" assignments for the cockpit camera: You will note that you need to hold the right click button to stay in freelook mode. The assignment just over lets you toggle between cursor/no cursor in freelook mode. But my "mouse" being in fact a trackball having no middle click button, I can only guess that Tom is right on this point. The action performed through the camera top window is the same as the one performed with the mouse, except that you don't have to hold the right button. But if you click on that right button, it does what I have already described.

If you installed BoB Alpha 01, that is not the correct or latest BoB install and I suggest uninstalling it and going to http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php/121308-CFS3-Battle-of-Britain-Install-update-is-out! to install the latest.

Welcome! And thanks for wanting to jump right in and learn how to make and mod things - there arenít enough of us! As you mention you think there is a lot you can contribute, did you have a specific area in mind? Most of us here have our own various specialties, so there are certainly people here who can help you dive into most any kind of project. In broad categories we have 3D modelers, painters, flight dynamics, special effects, sounds, and the all important people who make a multitude of miscellaneous tweaks to various files with a text editor. Then of course there is map making, and while there are a few good tutorials, there isnít anyone who is actively working on that.

Since January 17, 2021, there's a new FSX/P3D conversion of Oliver's Junkers 52 in the SOH library here, thanks to Bulbbulb2 and InDeepSchit. It's really nice to fly again with an old favourite of mine... Unfortunately, in FSX, the propdisks cast solid shadows on the ground, like a regular FS9 portover. Maybe it's the same in P3D, can't tell... Since it's FSX native, I hope removing the shadow is no big deal? I've tried that myself with MatMDL, with no luck so far. I guess it takes MCX and a proper SDK recompilation. This unfortunately I cannot do... Help!

Just discovered this freeware, installed all 3 things, but when my plane is in the air, then I have a kind of glimmer and the plane disappears in a certain view, also the ground textures are still displayed, although I should be above the water. I Like the BAttle of britain scenario
