To each his own... I'd take a Boeing 247D over a Vega any day, but they're going to offer both, which is nice. I saw their note on the Vega for P3D and agree that putting it aside for the MSFS version might be necessary from a business sense but it's disappointing for paying customers. If they want to do right for their early supporters, they should offer people who bought the P3D version of the Vega a steep discount on the MSFS version. All that said, the Bleriot is just fantastic -- I like it a lot more than I expected to -- so I'm anxious to see what they do with both planes on MSFS. And hopefully they'll eventually make good on their P3D Vega promises. As I understand it, the current release is in pretty good shape, but they promised further tweaks.

Quick notice - work is well advanced now with the rebuild of the KBT L-188 for P3DV5. Last tidy up is underway and off course checking. A pure P3DV5 compatible Electra with VC only. I guess in the absence of a negative we may assume KBT will have not objections - full attribution all over. A lot of folk in one way or another have contributed to this. P3DV5 has proved tricky in some areas but the outcome is we hope the longevity of this great model by KBT with impeccable lines. How long? Maybe a month at the most. Looking good Test - Test - Test

Boing 247? Why he wonders. They really should have released the Vega, but it too is a bit of an odd duck. And yes, they led many along with update promises on the Vega, then disappeared for a long time. But whatever, there are many choice aircraft coming. that Spit is supposed to be Friday.

I try to avoid whinging about developers but I'm not too pleased with WING42. As they started off releasing the Lockheed Vega as an 'Early Access' P3Dv4/5 project I was happy to pay up front and was more than happy to have one of my favorite Golden Age aircraft. There were several updates and several more to come........ but they didn't. I'll rephrase my comment: more disappointed than displeased, I believe in early access projects and helping fund them, and I understand the rush to jump on the MSFS bandwagon, but I do think abandoning one's original supporters is very short sighted. Love the choice of subjects, could do better on the support front and would appreciate the Vega being completed as promised for P3Dv5. :a1451:

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2020 - Scenery Description: Kernan Aviation (http://www.kernanaviation.co.uk/) operates a fleet of microlight aircraft out of a home strip about two miles north of the town of Tandragee, Northern Ireland. There is an equivalent length grass runway to the east just over the small stream where students practice grass tngs and emergency landings. The field sports three roomy hangars, a clubhouse and a briefing house, as well as outdoor seating and barbecue facilities. I made this scenery for a good friend who flies...

You can say that again. Hard to believe this is a digital model and not a photo of the real thing (well done! :encouragement:). The Carenado boys must really love MSFS. Hope they'll do a native Mentor. Read on another forum that the quality of the FM is far from up to that of the external/internal model. I want it in my hangar anyway. The more non glass cockpits the better.

Picked up the superb Bleriot from the MSFS Marketplace today and decided to check out the Wing42 website. Was excited to see they have a Boeing 247D in the works, which will make an excellent hangar companion for the AH DC-3 for us classic airliner fans! The Lockheed Vega is in the works for MSFS too.

A nice, clean copy of the YB-49 pilots manual. Lots of photos and drawings about systems and instruments that would apply to XB-35. https://www.filefactory.com/file/7cc4j1o4dyqz/Northrop_YB-49A%20Pilots%20Flight%20Operating%20Instructions%20Handbook.pdf

I posted a couple of screenshots in the screenshot topic. It really flies nicely, and love the steam gauges with basic GPS setup. Hoping Just Flight offers a discount for owners of the P3D Turbo Arrow. If so, I'll have both Carenado's standard and JF's Turbo and can compare them. :)

There is a work around to get the converted aircraft to work in VR. 1. Copy the model folder of the aircraft and name it model.vr 2. Go into the new model folder. Delete the exterior model 3. Go into the model .cfg remove the exterior model and rename the interior=(insert model name) to normal=(insert model name) 4. Go into the aircraft.cfg and copy the entry of the aircraft you want and make another one and rename the title=(insert aircraft name) vr 5. Change the model entry in the new flight sim entry to model=vr Results may vary and make backups of your files but it has worked for me every time. I can fly legacy aircraft in VR without it crashing.
