According to the xp11 forum , the replacement textures will be fully global, so US will be included. But US autogen won't be. Pretty stoked, and he seems lnclined to support plugins like terramax.:encouragement:

It has been applied. What you say is normal and not to worry, it's there,as long as the stock install is in the default location.

I meant excluding the effects .xml . You do not want to fool around the effects file in the ETO install unless you want a separate install. So much has been done to the effects .xml you do not want to replace it in the ETO or PTO installs. As mongoose says there are some mods for the firepower aircraft to use in the ETO,PTO. Maybe someone can help as i've forgotten were i got them. I can look for them and email them to you if interested. You can install all the other files.

TRACOM CQ dets usually flew in to NAS Pensacola a day prior, then sortied out from there to LEX for CQ. Also made divert easier, all the maintenance and line det people from the various VT squadrons involved were pre-positioned there.

The install of the tool in its latest version searches the registry and autopopulates the paths to the SDK, the sim and the scenery.cfg file. It gives you the chance to review prior to the install. All were correct. it also gives you the chance to check which version of the sim you are using each time you fire up the tool. However, I will go check this again just to be sure.

***mini update*** "Hey everyone,As mentioned in earlier posts, we are at work on a detailed Aircraft Settings capability through the Options, F/A-18C, Special Tab. This consists of two primary elements: Aircraft Systems and Mission Card. Both will allow you to pre-configure the Hornet before flight in both single and multiplayer. As such, you would be able to setup your own aircraft defaults. Aircraft Systems include all functions that are NOT specific to mission (.miz) file or Mission Computer settings. This includes such items as lights, bingo fuel, various cockpit switches, altimeter, etc. In this way, you can have your aircraft setup just that way YOU want it. The Mission Card allows you to set up software options for all missions that includes such items as radar settings,...

Listen up! I just realized that I forgot to include in the Gilberts pack a very important scenery object that sits on the beach on Butaritari Island. Namely the Kawanishi Emily Wreck generously donated by Shessi about the same time that he released his excellent Kawanishi Emily package. This wrecked Emily was used by the Japanese as a snipers nest during the battle for Butaritari Island. It is a stand alone, non-placeable object permanently anchored in the small inlet just south of Kings wharf. You may already have a folder where you install such objects. My suggestion for installing it would be to create a folder either in your main CFS2 folder or else in your SCENEDB folder and name it "Misc Scenery Objects" with a scenery and texture sub-folder. Place the Kawanishi Emily Wreck...

That is a super camera John and super images there too. But I am afraid it is out of my budget. I am awaiting Nikon's D5700, supposedly to be released this year. Currently using a D5500 and have a D5100 as well. Cazzie

Is it preferable to make these as 'buildings'? How about AI aircraft. I am thinking of frame rates if I place a lot on airfields. I note for my Deelen NJ Fliegerhorst, I did place a lot as aircraft.

Yes that's what I wanted but as I think you said, it odesn't really effect the dds and mos files if all I have done id change the textures but not the actual outlines for each layer.

What do you want to install ino ETO exactly? Just aircraft or other stuff like effects files? Personally I would not mess too much with ETO install unless you make another one to add payware to. Somewhere there are ETO compatible FP aircraft done by Capt. Winters I believe.

Something along the lines of the Races held here at SOH a few years ago...such as this one... ...but on a world-wide stage. Perhaps not the all out 48 to 72 hour marathons (which are difficult for many, if not most), but as in the Southwest Pacific race IIRC there was a spreadsheet to keep track of everyone's time, but the times were taken directly from the Duenna. I fully realize the weather component may throw a wrench into the equation, but with enough forethought there may be a way to make it work. I know for me personally I would be more likely to participate in such a race that takes place within a time frame of a week or two, but I also understand the desire of the...

You are welcome! For the record, I have discovered a small glitch in one of the PBR models... I have pulled the files from the server and I am replacing them as I write. They should be back online within a couple of hours.
