Try Nuvecta. it's an add on for Megascenry photo scenery that generates autogen (Rather generically but much better then none) I have it for the 3 New England states I have installed (Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine) and it looks good. Here's a couple of shots I have of Vermont.

Thanks for the photo, Marcel ! :encouragement: I remember having seen it before. Boy! That's a long time ago! Those were the days, huh... ;-) (thanks for sending along the logo too, talk about nostaliga... ;-) I noticed TCA still exists too but no sign of Rainer. Did you ever meet with him again after the photo was taken ? I thought it was pretty remarkable and funny, a dedicated pastor even more dedicated to his virtual flying life in the Caribbean. Learned a lot about the Caribbean from Rainer. Fun time ! Wozé sa ou. Papa Yo!

Brilliant, Dave! Using PBR sparsely does the trick. It looks really realistic. BTW congrats to your talent make the superb Captain Sim TF flyable in P3Dv4! Unfortunately no manufactorer seems currently be able to design trainer/2seater versions of former jets (F-104, Harrier etc.). Never thought silver paints show so many nuances...

My brother has just returned from a nostalgic trip to Milan and Como, where he spent a lot of time in the Sixties. He sent me this lovely book - a story about the restoration of a Caproni 100 and of the Como Aero Club's history. It even mentions the Super Cub floatplane in which I was once taken for a flight around the lake - unforgettable !

....just was wondering. Since they seem to appear in your theater folders, have you right clicked on them and then hit properties? That might give a idea when they were created and other dates thus giving a starting point. If they are really old they might be from something that you had before the site had the server problems and are no longer avail. here. Rami might know if some old campaigns\missions are no longer avail here from days gone by. As I said just a thought to ponder.

My point was that the poster said warbirds are in decline, yet they saw fit to introduce a German NAZI WWII bomber which contradicts the statement. No LOL from me on that point.

Hi Aharon, The newest installers for MegaScenery products are pretty easy to use. Just run the installer, make sure you have enough disk space where you are installing them, and you should have no problems. Generally I would put any MegaScenery, or any photoreal scenery, directly above the last default P3D entry in your scenery.cfg, and below all your other addons. This way any airports or other addon scenery you have will be layered on top of the photo scenery. I use scenery config editor for a really easy way to move and add and remove scenery entries.

Do you have older custom individual airfields installed? (not Achim's). Check those files. Some may have included trees. Also a few of the older 2002/2004 aircraft may have included scenery like the B-26C-15 done by David Eckert which included airfield scenery, missions including a whole bunch of trees by Paul Roberts, which are similar but not the same, as those you posted.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Scenery Description: Once the largest F-102 Base in the country, North Texas Regional, located 75 miles north of Dallas, Texas and about 10 miles south of the Oklahoma border is home to several local Government offices, various classrooms for Grayson County College, a Fire Fighters School, a Flight School and the seemingly permanent home for the US National Aerobatics Championships held in late September each year. Of course there are plenty of air operations each day with the local Flight School and corporate aircraft that come and go, as well as the normal GA activity from surrounding airports and those based at NTRA. I hope you enjoy the scenery. Be sure to read the enclosed readme for important information on...

Having heard this is the future and seen what can be achieved I decided to have a go and see what was involved. These are early trials using some ancient but interesting hardware from FS9, the A2A P47D-30 and the CS TF-104G, both converted using MCX to P3D4.4 models. OK, probably not the most up-to-date kit to choose, but easy skins to work with. I've used the diffuse texture file for the albedo and the spec as the basis for the metallic. Smoothness is set to albedo alpha, except for the canopy which is set to metallic. BTW for those tired of blue-tinted canopies, PBR fixes that - the TF-104 on the ground is pre-canopy update. Canopy colour can now be adjusted directly with the albedo (diffuse) texture. And alpha channels now more directly and accurately influence texture shine....

My comments weren't meant to be a criticism of your company - I can fully appreciate the desire to only have to develop for a 64bit sim rather than both. The post I originally quoted was talking about going "where the money is" rather than the practicalities of making two different versions of each aircraft. From an outsider's point of view, if it's just down to the money, then the customer base still seems to be there for FSX. A number of developers have justified not producing for FSX because of their perception that the number of users is dwindling and everyone is going to P3D. This appears not to be the case if you look at the Steam stats. Remember also that those stats only include users of the Steam Edition and not those (probably many more) who still use the Boxed Edition. A...
