    Theoretically, you should be able to take the interior mdl file from the Model folder and put it in the IRIS vulcan model folder, you'd need to edit the model.cfg to point to the correct interior name though. Also, you'd need to make sure all the VC textures from the JF product and systems details merged across. You'd have to do this all without breaching the JF EULA. Theoretically it's possible, but likely fiddly as all hell. :) DLB.

    You trimmed 2 units nose down trim before takeoff? All 3 SAS switches on? Trim commands assigned in the MVAMS? @Daube the pitch/roll damp and deadzones are only for the Control Stick Steering mode when the autopilot attitude hold is on.

    This is a memorandum from IBM to field staff, admittedly it appears to be quite old but worth a look. :applause: Re: Replacement of Mouse Balls. If a mouse fails to operate or should it perform erratically, it may need a ball replacement. Mouse balls are now available as FRU (Field Replacement Units). Because of the delicate nature of this procedure, replacement of mouse balls should only be attempted by properly trained personnel. Before proceeding, determine the type of mouse balls by examining the underside of the mouse. Domestic balls will be larger and harder than foreign balls. Ball removal procedures differ depending upon the manufacturer of the mouse. Foreign balls can be replaced using the pop off method. Domestic balls are replaced by using the twist off method.....

    In the MVAMS application (that external app to configure your aircraft from Milviz), check the Phantom configuration, especially the dead zones. I set them to zero, else I get a very strange behavior in flight. Excepted that, I can't remember right now, but isn't there some dampening system to activate in the cockpit ? For roll and pitch ? I love the Milviz Phantoms so much and I don't have any issues to fly them (excepted an engine burning from time to time when I'm in the parking, waiting for that damned INS to warm up...)

    Thanks Gray! I did fiddle with that box yesterday but mainly because I saw you could open it and check the fuses. (Just remember, a good pilot always keeps good quality .22 caliber bullets on hand in case a fuse blows.:biggrin-new:) Usually I don't read the manual instead choosing to sit in the cockpit and get familiar with things. (I also hunt for Easter eggs hidden around the cabin. I do wonder if the doors in the wing roots will ever open and what's inside of them!)I'll check the lights out in a bit. I do have to say in real life I would be very afraid of a mid air collision in a Vega. Clearing turns are tricky because you really have to crank up a wing to check your 3 or 9 o'clock through the sliver of a window Lockheed provided under the wing!

    Nice movie! Here are three of my latest repaints converted from CFS3. My favorite paint scheme is the Big Beautiful Doll. Too bad that it had crashed back in 2016 close to where I live. I will wait until I have a set of 9-10 repaints before uploading it.

    You could give me a raise.... Like everything... About the only thing holding me back from buying everything I ever want is budget.... I've got a plan and your plane is in that plan. Sadly, I've also got a guitar addiction to support, as well as two boys in college. And yes, the Lockheed Vega has always been an interesting plane to me. I love the Golden Age, and back in the FS9 days I was planning on developing a mission series around Amelia Earheart.

    After some four engined fiascos, I made a deal with this guy on some kind of Lockheed Twin. He said he thought it was a modified Lodestar and that's what he put on the bill of sale. No data plates or anything else to ID it, but darn it's the fastest "Lodestar" I've ever flown. Already outfitted for cargo, he said he got it at a Customs auction and got it back airworthy. I think he used the "airworthy" word kind of loosely. But it does fly nicely. I just hope no one wants to see any paperwork on it as all I've got is that bill of sale....
