Gee Bearcat. I don't feel right about you spending your time making a new panel just on my account. Whats funny is I am pretty sure that I used to run these ac on my WP rig, too. With no issues at all. I wouldn t swear to it but I am almost certain. Did I mention, in case it matters, that I am running everything on my Window 8.1 Pro HP laptop? Screen-res 1920x1080 Unfortunately my old XPPro desktop bit the dust a couple of years ago. I rebuilt everything and got up and running again on this rig which, up until then, had very much been my back-up/travel computer. My gut on this situation is that some gauge or other is behind it. Guess I could delete groups of gauges until I delete a group that make the problem go away. And then add-back the gauges from that group one by one...

We use the Mdlc conversion tool, which can also shine and resize a model.

I put the Bravo on the flight line again for a test on my XP rig and had no issues at all when loading in FF, changing models within FF or changing views and such. I don't have any more clues on this, except as Allen suggested about using a different panel. If the bitmap size isn't the cause then its got to be one of the gauges. Which one is anyone's guess... Not sure if the dpi matters much. My desktop screen is defaulted to 96 dpi and handles the 2048 ~ 125 dpi bmp just fine in sim. I can mess around with building a replacement panel for you, just have to find the best gauges to fit the look of the bitmap and hope they work out for you.

Additional location specific mesh scenery folders go above LOD 7 and LOD 8 in the CFS2 Scenery Library window (which conversely is below them in the Scenery.cfg text file). Airfield add-ons go above the additional mesh scenery folders in the CFS2 Scenery Library window (again conversely, below them in the Scenery.cfg file). Clear as mud? :pop4:

Just curious (re both the port-overs and FSX native models) and to add more realism in screenshots etc. .. is there a way of removing the pilot from the exterior view when aircraft is parked and engine/instruments are turned 'off' ? I came across some aircraft before where pilots disappeared when certain conditions were met (parking brake set, battery off, etc. based on type of aircraft).

Yes, I have but where would other Mesh Files and Addon Airfield Files go in the Library ? I have already installed the LOD 7 and LOD 8 Mesh Files and Watermasks and put them where the Readme says to in the Library but what about other Scenery Files(Both Mesh and Airfield Addons)?

I'm so happy you're also working on this....your T206 is excellent! Any chance of this paint job? It's a Falcon leasing and repair company by my work. This isn't the best picture but if you google the N number you'll find some brighter sunnier pics falcon20N378DB_edity by ryan b, on Flickr

Just downloaded the Avro 621 FSX port-over (link below) ... and seem to have no engine startup effect. Does anyone know where I can find the 'fx_avro621_startup_v1' effect file called for in the aircraft config section ? Thank-you, MZ.

They just released a major update today to version 4.0.0. The biggest change for what I've been doing is that you can now control noise suppression and blur removal separately. There are 6 different levels of strength that can be applied for each one. This helps with fine tuning the impact is has on things like rivets and panel lines. You still need to balance keeping most of the fine detail with having it smooth out the jagged lines for you. There are also two levels of AI that can be selected for a trade-off between quality and speed. They also let you set the level of dedicated GPU memory usage now.

I'd really love to see a repaint of "Sweet Eloise II" as well. The most recent restoration and paintwork on that aircraft was just completed early last year. As its website details, it is one of the highest-time combat vet warbirds flying today, with over 1800 documented combat hours flown. It is painted in the markings it had originally when it was the personal aircraft of the 730th Bomb Squadron Commander, Charles H. Howe, at Pusan, South Korea in 1951, who named the aircraft "Sweet Eloise" after his wife. It is also configured as it was during the Korean War, with the gun turrets removed. A great many detail photos of the aircraft here:
