Hi MR Thanks for that. I just went back, got rid of all the old pac4a10m files etc Put in the DEM5 mesh. And Bob's your Uncle (means all is well, tested two airfields) I did not install Rhumbas Watermasks. I should have tested your exclude before I wiped out the old pac4a10m files. Cheers Stuart

HI all, Is there a way I can see what's causing CFS3 to crash after 2 or 3 free flights? Similar to a log file included with AnKor's .dll? Thanks!

So, it sounds as though you are maybe running a bit of a hodge podge? A mix of stock and Rhumba? I am guessing that all those lines(river, shorelines and roads) that you are seeing are the stock lines? Yes? My set up has Rhumbas masks and mesh- and no shorelines, rivers or roads at all. I add all the rivers, shorelines and roads required when I build the scenery. And yes, if you still have the stock rivers and roads installed and activated then they will show at all locations in the Gilberts scenery pack.

That is because the DP says that the plane has breaking parts while the model has no breaking parts so the game clone the model. Open the DP with nopepad/wordpad and check every . If you see a number at the end like below in bold. Stock A6M2 Zero ; System = Nose Structure effect.0=10,LIBRARY,fx_smkpuff_s, effect.1=30,LIBRARY,fx_engfire_s, effect.2=60,LIBRARY,fx_engfire_m,

HI MR Thanks for the reply and thanks for all your great work It is Tabiteuea, but similar patterns are found at Tarawa (and probably other places as well) The install is on old one but it has LOD 7 and 8. It still has the pac4a10m files etc (I should remove these) It has Rhumbas watermasks cst4a00m etc. Do I need Rhumbas watermasks with your scenery? Cheers Stuart Do you have Rami's

Hiya Stuart, Yes whats going on is that the stock rivers, roads and shorelines are still present. The Gilberts scenery is built specifically for the world of Rhumba's mesh and masks. Rhumbas mesh and masks contain no roads, rivers or shorelines. Back in the olden days when I built G2K scenery to fit the stock install I would always include an exclude bgl to get rid of all the stock lines at whatever location I was building. Interestingly, the Gilbert scenery will work equally well on a stock or Rhumba-ized set-up so long as line-excludes are included for the stock set-up..

Hi All I am making a new PTO install from scratch and I have a question about Rhumba's Mesh and Watermasks. In Rami and DVSlats PTO install guide it says put the watermask files in the SCENEDB\world\scenery folder. I seem to remember people saying the watermasks are too 'aggressive'? and they should be deactivated. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers Stuart

Below, is a screenshot of something I remember from way back. This isn't a collision. It's the same plane. After getting hit hard enough for a shootdown, some planes would suddenly spawn two or three more crashing planes. It's been a while for me, but does anyone remember how to fix this? Mdl conversion perhaps?

Do these downloads require the mesh, or the default terrain?

Hi All I have just installed the great new Gilbert Is. scenery in my PTO Rhumba install I installed PacTex1 in the Scenedb/world/texture folder Copied all the Scenedb/world/texture file to the main TEXTURE folder. Copied the texture file from the MR Gilbert Is folder into the main TEXTURE folder, without overwriting I get this texture problem? Maybe like one of the rivers/roads should not be there?

If any of you are interested and have TACPAC I collaborated with Corrado5834 from FSDeveloper and we released a TACPAC version with working bombs and rockets including an armament wizard with Milton's and Euro350's permissions. It can be found here but you must have a working copy of TACPAC. Since it uses their model all the textures are compatible.

Building your own system is actually quite simple IF you plan properly before you spend a single $. Read each and every manual or review, ask questions (there are no dumb questions, only dumb answers) and shop at a PC specialist store, not a chain. All building your own consists of is connecting cables and fitting parts into a box. I've been doing it since 1997 for myself and family, friends and the odd blow in, as for costs, buy cheap and you get (mostly) crap. Buy smart and ALWAYS negotiate. My current build is relatively capable, BUT if I run intense weather and cloud cover at high setting I will often get the BSOD........so I have a new build taking shape. What you first must take into account is what you want to run, then decide on a budget. I liken it to tuning cars, 'How...
