Hello all, I have multiple aircraft in my folder that just will not populate in the drop down menus when I open CFS2 and I cannot for the live of me figure out why. I have noticed that a bunch of them are Akemi legacy aircraft (mz-), but I'm putting a list together of what populates, what doesn't, and where I got it. Any ideas??? Steven

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for. Just learning all of those shortcuts is going to take me some time. Maybe I should just do my modeling in Solidworks (My work software) and export it. ;) I'm sure Blender will be fine once I use it enough.

MR I D/L this for the older Battle for Europe. Had problems with air file. hard bank left, I think. couldn't control with stick or trim. Someone had a fix. I think RAmi sent it to me. I will see if I can find it if need be.

Well, I was going to start learning to use Blender, it looks like it's a given now. Has anyone seen any good tutorials for lofting in Blender?

Thanks Tarps. Yep, "normal_pressure = 3000.0" is present. What ever is causing it is common for my entire Vol. III, all models, no working tail hook. One more thing. When I attempt to open any TA model in the animation editor in MCX (tried it in 3 latest MCX versions) it crashes the app. Have to use the 3 finger salute to end the program. I believe now I have a corrupted Vol. III package. All models are borked, at least the hook op is. There is something amiss in all models of my Vol. III. Everything else, all animations, click spots, etc seem to operate OK. Really puzzled over this one. Steve

I think the quality of the aircraft alone are worth the price, not to mention the scenery and weather.

Look in the section of the TA-7C's .cfg file and make sure there's an entry of 3000 on the "normal_pressure =" line. I know you said the hydraulic gauges read 3000 but I've found that without an entry of at least 1500 on this line the tailhook won't work.

Talk about serendipity; I've just finished reading about Romanian pilots flying the Phonix D.1 on the Italian front. Thanks Kurt. A nice looking plane!

No mods. Straight stock model file, config and air. I actually re-installed both the model and air files, and verified the config file line by line with the original. I didnít try the other Tís because theyíre not installed. As a test I did substitute the modded A/B air but it made no difference with the hook. So I think that eliminated the air file as the problem. Guess Iíll load the H and P and see if it works with those models. I think it may be that my copy of Vol 2 is corrupted. Steve

If you add them using JSGME then you can easily extract them again if something goes wrong.

The third bit of news is that work on the Battle of Normandy is progressing, not only in terms of creating new aircraft but also in other directions. For instance, a lot has already been done in creating the map which will include some promising new technologies for our series. But itís still early and we plan to show the progress on the development of the map later. Additionally, aircraft crews are also being created and as you already know, the G-suits worn by USAAF pilots appeared after the events of the Normandy, and therefore we created a model of an American pilot in an earlier uniform: And in FIRST for the combat-sim genre - the U-2VS, Yak-1 Series 69 and Yak-1b series 127 aircraft will receive a Soviet female pilot option! We have completed the process of animating the new...
