Looks to me like there are FSX/P3D base packs for the Convair 340, Convair 440 , DC-7, DC-7B and the DC-7C which are full packages that do not need the FS9 package. It looks like it is just the Constellation models need to be downloaded separately and inserted into the FS9 base pack. I am sure that Tom is doing the best he can to make the conversions and package them up. Unfortunately there are a lot of models and only a little Tom. Gavin Admins - looks like I managed to double post (instead of editing) please delete the previous post - Thx Gavin

So you know these planes work pretty well in FSX. I don't have Fs2004. I had to crank up the prop thrust_scalar to 1.5 so they would leave the water. Also the K2 has transparency problens in the vc. That's alright thou because I been flying the K1 all day. Nice addition to my Japanese Warbirds. Thanks Robert

Hiya UT, Even stranger thing. Just out of curiosity, I went and looked at what was actually in the 15 January 2016 zip. It contains the errant cfg files too! But somehow or another, the AC folders I made from them contain the corrected cfg files- dated August 16, 2016!

Well spotted Chris & Rohan, mea culpa :icon_redface: The zip has been modified to include the corrections. Probably a good indication of how much air time these conversions actually get - the original upload was back in JAN 2016!

I completely agree Eric. Throughout my FSX time, I "made it work" with the "FS9/FSX" port-overs, but am so thrilled now with these native planes. For folks staying with FSX, they can enjoy them a little more painlessly, and for us folks who've moved on to P3D, we can take some of our "old best friends" along to that ecosystem. Everyone wins, and the continuance of these projects (some from FS2000) is a rare boon for those of us who enjoy older periods in aviation. Tom and crew deserve all the thanks we can give them for these gifts. The real question for me will be which classic scenery do I take on for FSX/P3D conversion .... long weekend from our national holiday coming up and hopefully I'll get some free time to explore the scenery component of my "classic world"

Thanks you very much Gio963TTo, Archie71, Hubberhanz 01 and Shessi and all others who have participated in this project! Your efforts are highly appreciated as always. One thing however surprised me........ when you announced that you had found a way to convert IL2 aicraft I expected a whole list with requests for aircraft to convert. But obviously the people in this FS2004 aren't as greedy as some people in other forums :biggrin-new:. (apart from me this is......) But when you run out of ideas, I might have a small request for you :biggrin-new:. Cheers, Huub

It is indeed the Potez 584, Mike. :encouragement: Until I saw that photo I hadn't thought that changing only the engine could alter the appearance of an aircraft so much. Over to Scotland, please :icon29: And a sip to Carlo for identifying the location (Le Touquet) BTW, it is Robert, not Walter :very_drunk:

Obviously a skilled and knowledgeable guy, but the plane that he described as "his" project had the graphic "EXPERIMENTAL" misspelled on it.:dizzy:

If you understood that the Calclassics initiative is one firmly rooted in the FS9 sim, then you'd know that FSX and P3D conversions have thus far been largely peripheral to their main focus. Furthermore, that this whole FSX/P3D conversion effort is a relatively recent and fluid WIP. Their choice, their site, their projects, their rules. But of course, you knew all that, right? I choose to see it in reverse; that their choice of sim platform notwithstanding, it's been a pleasant surprise that I've been able to continue enjoying a good number of their releases, all the way from FS9 to P3D. I'm just grateful they're considering branching out, so I think I can muster the wherewithal to make a handful of file replacements. Your mileage may vary.

I did not say anyone here called me a gimp, crip, or spaz. I did say; "...I am disabled and don't appreciate being called a " gimp, spaz or cripple" by people who are not my friends.... Look I didn't mean to make a big deal about this but words can and do hurt. Let's sim!

Irony. His was a personal example of how he feels when strangers label him in his condition; and thereby give some context to the labels being used in this issue. I've had some light fun with this thread, but I'm fine with hearing him out, most especially given he has a perspective that's somewhat connected to this issue. Try and read for comprehension, and not in search of a narrative that you think entitles you to rank sarcasm.
