Hi, Fireball6! Unfortunantly no more information, besides that the planes were from Khanty-Mansiysk joint aviation unit. And some more b&w photos. The photos are from here:

For CFS3, processor speed has always been most important, much more than video card power. New hardware is less and less likely to support Windows 7 and earlier, so however much we loved it, remember all support ends in January next year. Win 10 works fine. If youre buying a laptop, Id suggest one with a gaming bias since the bargain basement jobs are best left in the basement. For a desktop rig, most machines are quite capable of good results but Id expect to use a dedicated video card rather than integrated graphics: nVidia always worked well and I use a GTX1050ti 4gb card. Make sure youve got at least 8gb of RAM for Windows: 16 or more is much better. SSD drives are great for speeding up the whole system if you can spare the cash.

Remember that new(er) PC hardware is most certainly not optimised for older operating systems. Something to take note of when buying.>> Hardware should match OS, for optimal performance. There are thousands that do not have any issues at all with CFS3, CFS2 & any of the Microsoft flight sims. I've never had an issue at all, & I'm running CFS2,3, FS2004 (6x versions that actually run faster in W10 that older OS's) & CFS2 & 3. & I'm running on a new i3 4GB laptop, with latest Window 10 updates.

What OS do you wish to use ? Hear that Win 10 has all sorts of problems. That is why i'm sticking with Win7 64 bit ,even if it is now unsupported by Microsoft. Will have WIN10 just to go online with.Win7 does all i want it to do and works great with my older combat flight sims. I too am saving up to get a new computer, but may buy used just so i can use Win7 or build one that is compatible with Win7. Though i plan on a speedy CPU ,good RAM, and a very good video card. Must have dual SSD's also at around 1TB each.

Your image was likely resized by the program here because the size of the file was too large. Make sure when you save your image that you will upload to a website is saved as a JPEG (jpg) file not as a bitmap (bmp) or any other type of format. JPEG's compress the pixels in an image to make for a much smaller file size. The size of your image on a screen will not change, only the size of the file will be smaller. Most websites won't allow large file sizes and will automatically change your image to meet the website restrictions on what it will allow. Depending what program you save your jpg with, you may also have the option to set a "compression" level. ie How much you want to compress the image to make the file size even smaller. You can set this to around 70-80% the maximum value it...

Thanks Klaus, -I have replaced the sim1.dll by a new one (from my backup FSX folder) ==> always the same error with AI carriers while with other carrier (Foch , . ) it's OK , -MCX : all models are OK (perhaps long to load : 13 s) , Perhaps there is an error for init.0 definition of aircarriers.cfg file i added ? title=JMSDF_Izumo unit.0=JMSDF_Izumo_carrier Izumo 183 offen F35OSP, 0, 0 Can anyone tell me if the syntax is correct ? Thanks for your responses

Stuart277, I just wanted to give you a shout out of gratitude. I'm going back to retrofit the Stuka campaign with operations around Boulogne on 23 May. On that day, StG 77 attacked the Port of Boulogne, including hitting FNS destroyers Orage and Frondeur, both Bourrasque-class destroyers. I checked the ships library, and sure enough, you had built that class, so they will be used in this mission. You of course also did the V and W-class RN destroyers, so that I can also represent HMS Whitshed. Many thanks for all of your dedicated work to represent the navies of WWII in such a grand scale. Collin is smiling somewhere. :wavey:

perhaps you will find some informations for that question in here : and another information from a german board : another sugestion : get ModelConverterX (freeware) an try to load the .mdl file from my carriers there. If that will be done without mistakes ( no missing textures and so on... (shown in the screen under the visible model in converter as red marked entrys)) then the mistake would probably be in your sim1.dll (defect) as shown in links above. if all this will not be the reason you will find many other information with google : greetings
